Role Description

We’re looking for a highly creative Video Editor to join our team and take ownership of social-first video content for a high-profile US-based client.

This is an opportunity for an editor who understands that great social content is about more than simply cutting footage together. You’ll have a strong instinct for storytelling, pacing, hooks, visual style and what makes people stop scrolling, turning raw footage and creative ideas into content that feels polished, current and engaging.

You’ll work closely with the client and creative team, with the opportunity to receive direct creative feedback on the content you produce. This role will suit someone who is confident in their editing ability, has a strong creative point of view, and enjoys working in an environment where the quality and personality of the content really matter.

Responsibilities:

• Own the editing process from raw footage through to polished, platform-ready social content.
• Identify the strongest moments, stories and hooks within footage and shape them into compelling edits.
• Create content that feels native to platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and YouTube rather than simply repurposing traditional video.
• Develop a strong sense of pacing, rhythm and visual storytelling across different types of content.
• Use captions, text treatments, music, sound design, transitions and visual effects thoughtfully to elevate each edit.
• Adapt content for different platforms, formats and audiences while maintaining a consistent creative style.
• Work directly with feedback and creative direction to refine content and push edits further.
• Bring your own creative ideas to the editing process rather than relying solely on a brief.
• Keep up with emerging social formats, editing styles, trends and visual storytelling techniques.
• Manage multiple pieces of content while maintaining a high standard and meeting deadlines.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional video editing experience, ideally with a strong focus on social-first content.
• A portfolio that demonstrates strong creative editing and storytelling, particularly short-form social content.
• A strong understanding of what makes content engaging and watchable on platforms such as TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
• Excellent instincts around hooks, pacing, retention and storytelling.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Experience with After Effects, Photoshop, CapCut or similar tools is an advantage.
• A strong visual eye and attention to detail.
• Someone who can take a rough concept or raw footage and turn it into something polished and compelling.
• Comfortable receiving direct feedback and making quick, thoughtful revisions.
• Able to work independently, manage deadlines and take ownership of the quality of your work.
• Experience working with creators, influencers, personal brands, entertainment or high-profile clients would be advantageous.
