The Simulation Education Core Coordinator supports the Rural Health Transformation initiative as a member of the Simulation Education Core (Sim Core), providing organizational, administrative, and logistical coordination to ensure successful implementation of simulation education, workforce development, and partner‑engagement activities across rural regions. The position manages communication, project tracking, and operational support for Sim Core programs, working closely with faculty, clinicians, simulation staff, and rural healthcare partners to advance project goals.

Duties/Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Operations (40%)

  • Coordinate day‑to‑day operations for Simulation Educational Core activities, including scheduling, communication, gathering evaluation data from each SIM team, and resource planning.

  • Manage logistics for training sessions, workshops, SIM education events, and partner engagement meetings.

  • Track project milestones, deliverables, and timelines to ensure timely progress.

  • Assist with preparation of program materials, reports, agendas, and documentation.

Stakeholder & Partner Support (25%)

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for rural healthcare partners, learners, and program collaborators.

  • Coordinate communication and information flow between Simulation Core faculty, simulation staff, and external partners.

  • Support partner onboarding, scheduling, and information dissemination.

  • Work closely with stakeholders to identify needs and ensure smooth coordination of simulation education activities.

Data Management, Reporting & Documentation (25%)

  • Manage data collection processes for program evaluations, attendance, and outcome measures.

  • Assist with preparation of reports for internal teams, grant funders, and project leadership.

  • Maintain organized records, databases, and documentation consistent with project and regulatory requirements.

  • Support continuous quality improvement initiatives within the Clinical Core.

Administrative & Team Support (10%)

  • Provide administrative support to faculty and staff within the Clinical Core.

  • Support meeting planning, minute‑taking, scheduling, and communication tasks.

  • Assist with procurement, travel coordination, and budget tracking as needed.

  • Participate in team meetings and broader Rural Health Transformation planning efforts.

Requirements

Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:

  • Associate’s degree two (2) years of administrative, program coordination, project support, or related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience working in healthcare, education, public health, or community programs is beneficial.

  • Coursework, certification, or professional development in project management (e.g., PMP, CAPM, Agile, Lean or equivalent applied experience), and experience managing or coordinating multi-site or multi-partner initiatives, particularly in grant-funded or community-based settings.

Required Licenses & Certifications:

  • Valid driver’s license (occasional travel to rural partner sites may be required).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated project management skills, including task coordination, timeline development, milestone tracking, and stakeholder communication in complex environments.

  • Knowledge of project management approaches or frameworks (e.g., PMP, CAPM, Agile, Lean, or equivalent applied experience).

  • Experience managing or coordinating multi‑site, multi‑partner, or grant‑funded initiatives.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency with productivity tools, scheduling platforms, and data-management systems.

  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with clinicians, faculty, technical staff, and rural partners.

  • Adaptability, professionalism, and a customer‑service mindset.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, public health, education, administration, or related field.

  • Coursework, certification, or professional development in project management (e.g., PMP, CAPM, Agile, Lean, or equivalent applied experience).

  • Experience coordinating programs in clinical, academic, or rural‑health settings.

  • Experience with grant-funded projects or workforce development programs.

  • Familiarity with rural health systems, partner engagement, or distributed clinical education.

Compensation Pay Range:

$20.15 - $33.15
