Job Overview

The Senior Payroll Analyst is responsible for supporting payroll operations for employees in Poland and other assigned jurisdictions – UK, Germany, and Ireland. This position serves as a critical member of the Global Payroll team and is being established as a temporary leave coverage role to support continuity of payroll operations during an approved leave of absence.

The successful candidate will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, maintain employee and payroll data across multiple systems, support statutory reporting obligations, and partner with internal and external stakeholders to maintain compliance with country payroll, tax, and labor regulations.

Job Description and Requirements

What You'll Do 

  • Process monthly payroll, bonus payments, deductions, and payroll adjustments accurately and in accordance with established payroll calendars. 

  • Maintain and update employee and payroll information within Unit4 Teta HR, Deel, Workday, and other supporting payroll systems. 

  • Coordinate payroll activities and manage relationships with payroll vendors. 

  • Review payroll data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance before payroll submission and approval. 

  • Prepare and submit required statutory reports and payroll-related filings to GUS and other relevant authorities. 

  • Ensure compliance with Polish labor law (Kodeks pracy), social insurance requirements, tax regulations, and payroll-related legislation. 

  • Partner with HR, Finance, external payroll providers, and employees to resolve payroll inquiries and discrepancies. 

  • Support payroll audits, documentation requests, process improvements, reporting requirements, and year-end payroll activities. 

What You'll Bring 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • 2 to 5 years of hands-on payroll and HR administration experience. 

  • Working knowledge of payroll processing, employee lifecycle transactions, and payroll controls. 

  • Experience using payroll and HRIS platforms such as Workday, Unit4 Teta HR (preferred but not required), Deel (preferred but not required), or similar systems. 

  • Strong understanding of Polish labor law (Kodeks pracy), payroll regulations, social insurance requirements, and tax legislation. 

  • Advanced attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies. 

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 

  • Professional proficiency in Polish and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience supporting payroll in a multinational or global organization. 

  • Experience working with outsourced payroll providers and statutory reporting processes. 

  • Experience participating in payroll audits, compliance reviews, or payroll process improvement initiatives.
