Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Business Analysis
- Support the development and execution of short-term and long-term business strategies.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of business performance across retail, wholesale, e-commerce, and marketplace channels.
- Identify growth opportunities, risks, and emerging market trends impacting the business.
- Develop strategic recommendations for senior leadership based on quantitative and qualitative insights.
- Assist in annual business planning, budgeting, and forecasting exercises.
Business Insights & Performance Management
- Establish and manage business performance dashboards and KPIs across functions.
- Analyze sales performance, product productivity, store profitability, customer trends, and channel effectiveness.
- Monitor key business metrics and provide actionable recommendations to improve performance.
- Generate periodic business reviews and executive presentations for leadership discussions.
- Conduct variance analysis and identify drivers influencing business outcomes.
Market Intelligence & Competitive Benchmarking
- Track retail industry trends, consumer behavior, competitive activities, and market developments.
- Conduct competitor benchmarking on pricing, product assortment, store expansion, digital initiatives, and customer engagement strategies.
- Provide strategic insights to support market expansion and business growth initiatives.
- Evaluate new business opportunities and potential strategic partnerships.
Strategic Projects
- Lead and manage cross-functional strategic projects from concept through execution.
- Conduct feasibility studies, business case development, and ROI analysis for new initiatives.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and expansion projects as required.
- Drive special projects identified by the Leadership Team.
Data Analytics & Reporting
- Leverage business intelligence tools to derive actionable insights from large datasets.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to improve reporting capabilities and data governance.
- Build executive-level reports, dashboards, and presentations that facilitate decision-making.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting platforms.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner with business leaders to understand challenges and provide analytical support.
- Present findings, recommendations, and strategic plans to senior management.
- Facilitate collaboration among multiple business functions to drive strategic outcomes.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on business performance and strategic priorities.
Educational Qualifications
- MBA / PGDM in Strategy, Finance, Business Analytics, Economics, or related discipline from a reputed institution.
- Additional certifications in Business Analytics, Data Science, Financial Modelling, or Strategy would be advantageous.
Experience
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in Corporate Strategy, Business Planning, Consulting, Business Analytics, Commercial Excellence, or Strategic Planning.
- Experience within Retail, Consumer Goods, Fashion, Footwear, Apparel, FMCG, or Consumer-facing industries preferred.
- Prior experience in management consulting or strategy roles will be an advantage.
- Experience in handling cross-functional strategic projects and leadership presentations.
