The role is accountable for mobilizing new services, programme and project delivery, process and control design, SOPs and knowledge enablement, data-led improvement, and the development of AI, automation and legal-technology use cases within agreed governance. The role combines credible legal judgement with strong transformation, legal-operations, programme-delivery and change-management capability. It does not own platforms, governance or substantive legal positions assigned to Legal Operations, Procurement, Technology or onshore legal teams, and it partners with the Service Delivery & Workforce leader to transfer stabilized services into business-as-usual operations.
Team Responsibilities
· Lead the Hub transition, transformation and service-enablement portfolio.
· Design and mobilize scalable services, processes, controls, documentation and hand-offs.
· Drive responsible AI, workflow automation, self-service and contract-process optimization within owner governance.
· Coordinate Hub knowledge, templates, playbooks, SOPs and change-adoption activity while preserving substantive ownership.
· Use operational data to prioritize improvement and demonstrate benefits.
Specific Role Responsibilities
1. Transition and Mobilization
· Own transition plans, workstream governance, milestones, risks, dependencies and stakeholder communications for new services entering the Hub.
· Lead discovery, scope confirmation, process mapping, knowledge transfer, training packs, readiness assessment, hyper care and stabilization.
· Define entry, exit and BAU acceptance criteria with the Service Delivery & Workforce leader and relevant onshore owner.
· Conduct post-transition reviews and apply lessons learned to future mobilizations.
· Maintain a transition pipeline aligned to the phased service catalogue and avoid mobilizing work whose ownership, risk treatment or prerequisites are unresolved.
2. Process, Knowledge and Service Design
· Design fit-for-purpose intake, triage, workflow, escalation, quality and control processes.
· Create and maintain process maps, SOPs, operating documentation, training packs and controlled hand-off materials.
· Coordinate template, precedent, clause-library and playbook administration, version control and implementation using content approved by the relevant onshore legal owner.
· Assess new service requests for feasibility, standardization, automation potential, capability needs and transition readiness.
3. Legal Technology, AI and Automation
· Develop and deliver a prioritized portfolio of Hub legal-technology, AI and automation use cases within approved governance.
· Lead workflow automation, self-service, clause automation, abstraction and AI-agent pilots where allocated to the Hub.
· Partner with Legal Operations, Procurement, Technology, Information Security, Privacy and onshore Legal teams on design, controls, testing and deployment.
· Document use cases, assumptions, risks, testing and decisions, with clear human oversight and escalation controls.
· Build adoption plans, user testing, benefits measures and post-implementation reviews with the delivery leader and platform owner.
4. Continuous Improvement, Data and Change
· Use operational and stakeholder data to identify bottlenecks, root causes, standardization and redesign opportunities.
· Own the Hub improvement roadmap and project governance, with clear outcomes, owners, dependencies and benefits.
· Coordinate KPI dashboards, trend analysis and management information for improvement purposes, while respecting Legal Operations ownership of ExCo, Board or enterprise reporting where applicable.
· Lead change impact assessment, communications, training, adoption and reinforcement for new processes and tools.
· Develop new Hub service propositions jointly with delivery and onshore owners once legal, operational and technology prerequisites are met.
Experience Required
· A credible legal background, with qualification and PQE appropriate to FNZ’s Senior Legal Counsel architecture.
· Substantial experience leading legal-service transitions, transformation programmers, projects or legal-operations initiatives.
· Demonstrated experience in process design, SOPs, controls, knowledge enablement and organizational change.
· Practical experience developing or implementing legal-technology, AI, workflow automation or self-service use cases.
· Strong programme governance, stakeholder management, risk and dependency management, and benefits-realization experience.
· Experience in financial services, fintech, technology, outsourcing or another regulated environment is desirable.
· Commercial-contracting experience sufficient to understand legal workflows, playbooks, risk thresholds and escalation design.
Key Capabilities
· Transformation leadership and disciplined programme delivery.
· Legal-process design, standardization and control thinking.
· Practical AI, automation and legal-technology enablement.
· Change management, adoption and stakeholder engagement.
· Data-led diagnosis, prioritization and benefits tracking.
