JOB PURPOSE

The Enterprise Architect is a core strategic IT role responsible for end-to-end enterprise architecture planning and digital transformation across China. This position owns China’s technology strategy, IT roadmap and architecture design authority, driving consistent adoption of global enterprise architecture standards and principles with pragmatic local adaptation where business context requires. You will lead a cross-domain architecture team covering commercial/R&D solution, cloud, data and AI, partnering with global IT and local business stakeholders to standardize the IT landscape, mitigate technical risks, reduce redundant investments, and enable scalable, future-proof architecture to support long-term business growth.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES

1. Enterprise Architecture Strategy & Roadmap

• Own China enterprise architecture, technology strategy, IT roadmap and design authority, and ensure local technical decisions and implementations are fully aligned with global enterprise architecture guidelines and standards.

2. Architecture Governance & Standards

• Lead enterprise architecture governance and conduct architecture reviews for all China-based IT projects and digital initiatives to ensure solution consistency, security, scalability and compliance.

• Establish, update and promote local EA standards, architecture principles and technical guidelines in compliance with global EA frameworks and enterprise governance requirements.

3. Business-IT Alignment & Solution Design

• Partner with business stakeholders, local IT teams and global IT teams to translate business strategies and requirements into practical, standardized and future-proof enterprise architecture solutions.

4. IT Landscape Optimization & Modernization

• Assess current application, data and technology landscape, identify technical gaps and technical debt, and drive continuous architecture optimization and IT modernization.

• Drive cross-system integration, platform rationalization and technical risk mitigation across the entire China IT portfolio to simplify architecture and reduce maintenance costs.

5. Technology Investment, AI & Emerging Technology

• Partner with IT leadership, finance and portfolio teams to evaluate technology investments and guide platform reuse, build-versus-buy and retirement decisions based on business value, implementation feasibility, risk and total cost of ownership.

• Shape China’s enterprise AI adoption and emerging technology priorities with business and global IT stakeholders; guide targeted PoCs and the adoption of validated capabilities with domain architects.

6. Architecture Outcomes & Reporting

• Define and track architecture outcomes, including platform reuse, application rationalisation, technical debt reduction, cost efficiency and delivery effectiveness; communicate progress and recommendations to senior leadership.

7. Team Leadership & Capability Building

• Lead the cross-domain architecture team covering commercial/R&D solution, cloud, data and AI.

• Coach local technical teams on enterprise architecture best practices, facilitate cross-functional alignment, and improve overall technical delivery standardization.

Job Requirements

-  Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or relevant disciplines.

-  Professional certifications such as TOGAF, PMP would be a plus..

-  Solid understanding of mainstream enterprise architecture frameworks with proven practical experience in business, application, data and technology architecture.

- Familiar with cloud architecture, microservices, distributed system design, API integration and enterprise data governance.

-  Practical understanding of enterprise AI architecture and governance, with the ability to assess use cases, platform dependencies, adoption risks and operational readiness.

Essential ：    

- 8+ years of professional experience in enterprise IT architecture, system integration and digital transformation, with 3+ years of leading enterprise architecture design and governance.

- In-depth knowledge of enterprise core business systems including CRM, BI and sales planning, with rich experience in system integration and platform consolidation.

- Strong capability in architecture evaluation, technical risk analysis, solution design and technical decision-making, as well as technology investment evaluation (business value, total cost of ownership and implementation feasibility).

- Demonstrated people leadership, including managing and developing senior architects and building an effective cross-domain architecture team.

Desirable：

- Working experience as Enterprise Architect in multinational corporations.

- Hands-on experience in enterprise cloud migration, data platform construction and large-scale digital transformation programs.

- Familiar with enterprise cybersecurity management and data compliance requirements.
