Job Description

As a Senior Solution Architect, you will play a pivotal role in delivering Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE—our industry-leading corporate tax and e-invoicing platform—to multinational clients across Greater China. You will serve as the primary technical and functional consultant, bridging the gap between customer business requirements and technical solution delivery. Combining deep Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) integration experience with tax and e-invoicing domain expertise, you will lead end-to-end implementations, partner with distributed delivery teams, and help top-tier organizations modernize and automate their tax compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities

In this opportunity as a Senior Solution Architect, you will:

  • Drive Client Workshops & Requirements Gathering: Lead business and functional requirements workshops with customer tax, finance, and IT stakeholders to understand their current processes and business objectives.
  • Lead Solution Architecture & Gap Analysis: Perform detailed gap analyses between customer processes and ONESOURCE capabilities, designing target operating models and end-to-end integration architectures.
  • Author Technical & Functional Specifications: Develop clear, comprehensive documentation covering integration architecture, data flows, ERP connectivity, and configuration parameters.
  • Configure & Integrate Systems: Configure ONESOURCE applications and partner with technical consultants to ensure seamless integration with customer ERP systems (such as SAP or Oracle) and local Chinese tax solutions.
  • Manage Testing & Quality Assurance: Design and execute comprehensive test strategies, test cases, and validation scripts to ensure robust data flow and accurate tax determination.
  • Deliver Go-Live & Post-Implementation Support: Provide expert troubleshooting, cutover support, and advisory during go-live phases to ensure smooth transitions and high customer satisfaction.
  • Enable Users & Share Best Practices: Develop and deliver end-user training, empowering customer teams to maximize the value of their software investment.
  • Collaborate Across Global Teams: Partner seamlessly with remote delivery teams, product management, and professional services leadership to resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Support Pre-Sales & Practice Growth: Provide domain expertise for pre-sales engagements, client onboarding, and develop reusable delivery assets to enhance team scalability.

Required Qualifications

You are an ideal fit for the Senior Solution Architect role if your experience includes:

  • 10+ years of enterprise software implementation and consulting experience focused on tax automation, compliance, or finance systems for multinational clients.
  • Proven track record leading end-to-end ERP implementations, with a solid functional understanding of SAP or Oracle finance and accounting workflows.
  • Hands-on experience integrating Chinese enterprise tax and e-invoicing platforms (such as Golden Tax System, SAP, Oracle, Baiwang Cloud, Aisino, Yonyou, or Kingdee).
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex data flow and integration issues.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and consulting skills, with fluency in English and Chinese to engage effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% for on-site customer engagements, with flexibility for business cutover requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical development experience in SAP (ABAP), Oracle tools, Java, or .NET environments.
  • Professional accounting or taxation credentials (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA) or relevant enterprise software certifications.
  • Experience delivering projects within a hybrid model, balancing on-site customer engagement with remote/offshore technical delivery teams.
