The Role 

We’re looking for a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer who brings hands-on expertise in Java, Spring, React, and TypeScript, along with experience building and operating cloud-based applications. 

You’ll own complex features across backend services and frontend experiences—from technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and production support. You’ll contribute to architecture decisions, modernize existing systems incrementally, and mentor engineers through code reviews and technical collaboration. 

AI-assisted engineering is part of how we work. You should be comfortable using tools such as Claude Code or equivalent coding agents throughout the development lifecycle, while taking responsibility for the correctness, security, and maintainability of the result. 

What You’ll Do 

• Deliver full-stack capabilities: Design and build Java/Spring services and React/TypeScript interfaces that solve customer problems. 

• Build reliable backend systems: Develop APIs, integrations, data models, and distributed or event-driven workflows for cloud-based SaaS applications. 

• Create maintainable frontend experiences: Build responsive interfaces with thoughtful component design, state management, accessibility, and performance. 

• Own features through production: Take responsibility for technical design, implementation, automated testing, release, monitoring, and ongoing support. 

• Apply AI throughout development: Use coding agents for codebase exploration, solution planning, implementation, testing, debugging, documentation, and refactoring. Validate generated changes through review, testing, and engineering judgment. 

• Modernize existing software: Improve established systems through incremental migrations, stronger test coverage, and practical architecture improvements. 

• Strengthen operational quality: Improve CI/CD, observability, security, performance, and deployment reliability. Help investigate incidents and prevent recurrence. 

• Provide hands-on technical leadership: Contribute to design discussions, review code, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product, quality, and platform teams. 

What You’ll Bring 

• 7+ years of software engineering experience building and supporting production SaaS or enterprise applications. 

• 4+ years of production Java and Spring experience, along with hands-on experience delivering frontend applications using React and TypeScript. 

• Experience designing APIs, data models, integrations, and distributed or event-driven systems. 

• Experience building and operating applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including automated delivery and production support. 

• Practical experience using AI-assisted coding tools for implementation, testing, debugging, refactoring, documentation, or codebase analysis. 

• Strong engineering judgment: the ability to explain trade-offs, diagnose problems, and deliver maintainable solutions. 

• Demonstrated ownership of complex features and the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering and product teams. 

Experience That Would Be Valuable 

• Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, GraphQL, Hibernate, JDBC, Kafka, or comparable technologies. 

• React application architecture, reusable components, state management, accessibility, or performance optimization. 

• Relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle. 

• Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, or infrastructure as code. 

• Incremental modernization of applications built with Apache Stripes, JSP, Servlets, or other established Java web technologies. 

• Improvements to automated testing, observability, reliability, or production operations. 

• Deeper experience with Claude Code or equivalent agentic development tools, including repeatable workflows for planning, implementation, testing, and review.
