Über diese Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A Stelle bei Bluecatnetworks
But what makes us different is how we work: we believe great work happens in an environment where you're trusted, heard, and supported. With teams globally, we're building a workplace culture that values collaboration and integrity as much as innovation. If you're looking to advance your career with a company that invests in its people, this is it.
BlueCat is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to serve as the FP&A business partner to our Sales, Professional Services, Customer Success, and Marketing leaders. You will own the monthly financial rhythm for these functions (variance analysis, reforecasting, and stakeholder reviews), support Board reporting and commentary, and help leaders make better decisions with data.
You will also help us push FP&A beyond the P&L. This means building the commercial and unit-economics analytics our leaders and our PE sponsor increasingly expect, and finding smarter, AI-enabled ways to produce them. We are a PE-backed company modernizing how Finance works, and we want someone who is excited to experiment, challenge how things are done today, and help build the better way.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Business Partnership: Act as the trusted finance partner to the heads of Sales, PS, Customer Success, and Marketing. Be their go-to for spend, headcount, performance, and trade-off questions, and provide analysis that supports their business decisions (investment cases, hiring, program ROI, pricing and packaging, territory and capacity).
- Monthly Variance Analysis & Stakeholder Reviews: Own monthly actual-vs-budget/forecast variance analysis for your functions, explain the drivers in clear business terms, and lead monthly reviews with each business partner.
- Forecasting & Reforecast: Lead the reforecast cycle for your functions, including headcount, variable costs, commissions, and program spend. Document assumptions clearly and keep them aligned with the top-line forecast.
- Board & Executive Reporting: Prepare and support Board, sponsor, and executive reporting, including commentary, KPI packages, and ad hoc requests, to a high standard and on tight deadlines.
- Budget & Planning: Support the annual budget process with documented assumptions for your functions, working with leaders to translate strategy into a financial plan.
- Analytics Beyond the P&L: Build and maintain commercial and unit-economics metrics such as CAC and LTV, bookings vs. OTE and quota attainment, ARR renewal coverage and retention (GRR/NRR), PS utilization and profitability, and hardware margins. Turn them into recurring, trusted views for leaders.
- Sales Compensation Support: Partner with Sales, RevOps, and Finance on commission plan analysis, cost modeling, and attainment tracking so plans drive intended behavior and stay within financial goals.
- Process Improvement & AI Enablement: Identify manual and inefficient workflows across FP&A and redesign them. Experiment with AI tools and automation to speed up analysis, commentary, and reporting, and share what works with the team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or business partnering; SaaS or technology company experience strongly preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication: you explain complex results clearly to non-finance leaders and the Board, tell the story behind the numbers, write concise commentary, and build trust with business partners at every level.
- Highly responsive: you turn around questions and requests quickly and keep stakeholders informed.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills (required).
- Strong understanding of SaaS metrics and subscription economics (ARR, bookings, retention, CAC/LTV) and of how Sales, Marketing, PS, and Customer Success operate.
- Proven ability to turn data into clear recommendations and to present confidently to senior leaders.
- Curiosity and a hands-on attitude toward AI and automation: you have used, or are eager to use, AI tools to improve how finance work gets done.
- Self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, takes ownership, and thrives building processes rather than simply running them.
- Strong attention to detail, with sound judgment on what matters.
- Experience with an FP&A/planning tool (e.g., Pigment, Anaplan, Adaptive).
- Experience with an ERP (e.g., NetSuite) and CRM (e.g., Salesforce).
- Experience using AI tools such as Claude to automate analysis and reporting.
- Experience with PE-backed or sponsor-reporting environments.
- Accurate, timely monthly variance analysis and forecasts, with business partners who see you as a responsive, trusted advisor.
- Board and executive reporting delivered on time, with clear, insightful commentary.
- New recurring analytics (e.g., CAC/LTV, bookings vs. OTE, renewal coverage, PS profitability, HW margin) adopted by business leaders.
- Measurable reduction in manual effort through process redesign and AI-enabled workflows.
- Business decisions in your partner functions that are visibly better informed by your analysis.
