Are you a sharp financial mind who thrives on complexity, mentors others, and turns data into decisions? AMA is looking for two Senior Financial Analysts to join our Finance teams. Reporting to the Controller or Director, Finance, you’ll deliver rigorous analysis that informs  decision-making. If you bring the depth of a CPA, the instincts of a strategist, and the communication skills to bridge finance and the business, we'd love to meet you.

Who You Are

•  You have solid accounting and finance expertise across financial reporting, budgeting, and financial systems.

•  You are someone colleagues turn to for guidance, coaching, and subject-matter know-how.

•  You bring strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a track record of dissecting complex data and making clear recommendations.

•  You are a master researcher, able to dig into complex technical concepts and provide clear guidance
•  You communicate with confidence at all levels, from accounting technicians to senior leadership, translating complex financial concepts into accessible insights.

•  You are organized and deadline-driven, comfortable managing competing priorities and delivering under time pressure.

•  You build strong working relationships across the organization and take a collaborative, customer-focused approach to your work.

How You’ll Make an Impact

You will embody flexibility and adaptability, as you leverage your skills to support the teams where needed, which may include:

•  Analyze and evaluate complex financial information, processes, and alternatives to produce recommendations and reporting for senior management and the board.

•  Oversee preparation of financial reports and financial statements, ensuring relevance, accuracy, IFRS compliance and appropriate insight for stakeholders.

•  Support the annual budgeting process, including creating operating expense and salary worksheets, consolidating submissions, and supporting business areas throughout.

•  Research, analyze, and evaluate new and existing financial standards, guidelines and requirements, assessing organizational impact and coordinating implementation of recommendations.

•  Lead or support cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives as project manager or subject matter expert, translating strategy into business requirements and ensuring delivery on scope and schedule.

•  Working with financial models to deliver insights, including supporting strong capital management and liquidity practices, and providing financial forecasts.

•  Oversee the creation and maintenance of financial processes, policies, and procedures.

What You Bring to the Table

•  Post-secondary degree in Accounting or Business.

•  Accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, or CGA).

•  Seven years of progressive experience in a finance or accounting role, with increasing levels of responsibility.
