1. Business Planning & Performance Analysis (30%)
- Support the preparation, monitoring and analysis of NBPOL business plans, operational plans and performance targets.
- Analyse actual performance against plans, budgets, targets and historical trends to identify key variances and performance gaps.
- Conduct detailed analysis to understand the underlying drivers of business performance and highlight areas requiring management attention.
- Develop regular and ad-hoc management reports, dashboards and analytical presentations to support business reviews.
- Track key business indicators and provide insights on emerging trends, risks and opportunities.
2. Business Analytics & Improvement Identification (30%)
- Conduct in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis across relevant NBPOL business areas to identify performance trends, inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Identify business hotspots by analysing operational, financial and other relevant business data.
- Investigate root causes of significant variances, performance gaps and recurring issues.
- Translate analytical findings into practical insights and recommendations for management consideration.
- Support benchmarking and comparative analysis to identify potential areas for improvement.
- Work with relevant stakeholders to validate findings and understand the business context behind the data.
3. Management & Decision Support (20%)
- Prepare analytical insights and materials to support management meetings, business reviews and planning discussions.
- Provide data-driven analysis to support business decisions, including scenario analysis and evaluation of potential options where required.
- Develop concise management summaries highlighting key findings, implications and areas requiring attention.
- Support the Planning & Corporate team in preparing business cases, presentations and management papers.
- Ensure analysis is supported by reliable data, appropriate assumptions and clear analytical methodology.
4. Ad-hoc Analysis & Corporate Support (15%)
- Undertake ad-hoc analysis and special projects assigned by management or the Planning & Corporate function.
- Support cross-functional analytical requests involving financial, operational, commercial or other relevant business information.
- Consolidate information from different functions and sources to support specific management requests.
- Conduct focused analysis within short timelines when required to support emerging business issues.
- Support other corporate planning activities and initiatives undertaken by NBPOL.
5. Data, Reporting & Process Improvement (5%)
- Improve the quality, consistency and efficiency of recurring reports and analytical processes.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise, automate or digitise reporting and analysis activities.
- Maintain appropriate documentation of data sources, assumptions, methodologies and analytical outputs.
- Ensure management reports and dashboards are accurate, timely and fit for decision-making purposes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Analytics, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Business, Computer Science or other relevant analytical disciplines.
- Additional professional qualifications or certifications in data analytics, business intelligence or related areas would be an advantage.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant working experience in business analytics, planning, business intelligence, performance management, corporate planning, data analysis or a related field.
- Experience in analysing business performance and translating data into actionable insights.
