This role embraces responsibility for defining and delivering AI-driven capabilities that transform VisionLink's growing data ecosystem into customer value. It identifies opportunities across VIMS, on-highway, safety, productivity, and third-party data sources to create new insights, automation, and revenue streams. Working closely with engineering, data science, and business stakeholders, the position drives the strategy and roadmap for data-driven product innovation. The role also serves as the primary link between the VisionLink product organization and the DPM AI team to align AI platforms, priorities, and investments. By accelerating the application of AI and advanced analytics, this position strengthens VisionLink's competitive differentiation and customer outcomes. 

 
What will you do?  

As a Senior Digital Business Product Owner, you will strongly contribute to vision and product development through high end Caterpillar product portfolio and be responsible for the following:  

• Own and manage the product backlog, including prioritization of defects, enhancements, epics, and features to maximize business value. 

• Translate business strategy, user needs, and product objectives into well-defined, engineering-ready features and requirements. 

• Partner with Product Management to influence roadmap priorities and identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation. 

• Ensure backlog readiness, quality, and transparency to enable efficient development and predictable delivery. 

• Collaborate closely with Engineering, UX/UI, and stakeholders to deliver valuable product outcomes aligned with business objectives. 

• Provide visibility into product scope, dependencies, timelines, and risks, driving informed decision-making. 

• Gather and analyze insights from users, dealers, stakeholders, and product data to inform prioritization and product enhancements. 

• Monitor adoption, customer value, delivery outcomes, and product performance, recommending corrective actions when needed. 

• Make trade-off decisions across scope, quality, timeline, and technical constraints to achieve desired outcomes. 

• Support go-to-market, release planning, adoption, and change management efforts. 

• Champion continuous improvement and customer-centric product practices across the product team. 

This position works directly with Slovakia based engineering leadership and Cat Digital IT in the US. 

What you have:  

• Business Analysis: Knowledge of business analysis and the set of tasks, techniques and tools required to identify business needs; ability to recommend solutions that deliver value to stakeholders. 

• Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. 

• Software Change Request Management: Knowledge of software change request management; ability to manage software product change requests from customers, prospective customers, vendors, and internal staff. 

• Software Product Business Knowledge: Knowledge of and experience with the business aspects and operation of a software product; ability to manage install base, current uses, future plans, and product vision. 

• Software Problem Management: Knowledge of strategies, practices and tools for resolving software problems; ability to manage software problems in installed software products. 

• Strong product leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams, guide product discovery and delivery, influence key decisions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that deliver business value. 

• Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. 

• User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Knowledge of UAT activities, tasks, tools and techniques; ability to design, implement and evaluate acceptance tests for end-users. 

Top Candidates will also have:  

• Demonstrated experience working with agile teams in Product Owner, Product Manager, or related roles, driving product discovery, prioritization, and delivery 

• Proven experience leading digital product, operational improvement, or transformation initiatives and delivering measurable business outcomes 

• Proven experience leading product discovery, backlog prioritization, and delivery for complex digital products or initiatives 

• Strong track record of stakeholder management, balancing competing priorities, and driving outcome-based decisions 

• Experience defining product roadmaps, success metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives 

• Experience in UI prototyping applications such as Figma 

• Exposure to organizational tools such as Aha! and Azure DevOps 

• High interest in generative AI applications and emerging digital technologies 

• PSPO II, PAL, SAFe POPM, or similar certification preferred 

• PMP or other project management certification considered a plus
