Our National Civil team specialises in the design of roads, rail, bridges, stormwater, and general civil engineering projects. This is a skilled, high performing team that works on a wide variety of projects in the (roads and airports), Power, Water and Industrial, and provides civil expertise around stormwater drainage, earthworks and road/pavement design.

The opportunity

On the back of recent project wins and a strong pipeline of work, our established civil team is expanding and looking for a Senior Civil Engineer with general civil experience to join our team.

This varied role will see you take responsibility for:

• Design management, Project Management, and co-ordination of multidisciplinary civil projects within the roles of Job Manager and/or Lead Civil Engineer.

• Developing a culture of outstanding delivery within the team including the development of workflow processes to take a design from feasibility to detailed design.

• Providing coaching and mentoring to our young, enthusiastic team members with respect to your technical area of expertise as well as project planning and execution.

• Business development activities from the early identification of opportunities through to their active pursuit in collaboration with our internal and external partners.

About you

Ideally, you will be a qualified Professional Engineer (CPEng) with Engineers Australia (or equivalent Professional Society), with your civil engineering experience coming from a consulting environment. You will have experience working on drainage or civil engineering projects, preferably having technical expertise in grading and drainage design.

With a particular focus on general civil projects, you will have solid links to the Queensland market that will have developed your expertise in 3D Design (12D or Civil 3D), Design Management and Bid writing/tendering. You are a values driven person who enjoys sharing the successes of your colleagues and delivering excellence for your clients.
