Due to our continued growth and project pipeline, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior/Associate Planner with 5-12 years of experience to join SLR’s national Planning team in Townsville. This is a full-time position where you will have the opportunity to collaborate with our team of 60+ Planners across the country on top of having local support from an industry leader.  

Our Townsville office is a tightknit group of multidisciplinary experts in their field, who also happen to be down to earth, supportive and fun to be around. We work in a flexible office environment and pride ourselves on our relaxed and positive culture, regular social events and positive client feedback.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidates will have:

• Planning analysis and research and confident in delivering exceptional results
• Managing projects without direct supervision
• Liaising with clients, councils, consultants & other government agencies
• Compiling of DA and EA lodgement packages
• Experience working across multi-disciplinary projects within a consulting environment
• Development of approval implementation advisory, including compliance with permits
• Business development and high-level client relationship management

Experience

Not only will you bring a great attitude and enthusiastic approach to your work, but you will also have:

• A degree in town planning or equivalent
• Ideally you will have 5-12 years working experience within a consulting business
• Excellent report writing skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to function effectively within a high performing team
