Job Summary

The Sales Engineer supports the sales team by providing technical expertise during the sales process. This role helps translate customer needs into product solutions, assists with demonstrations, and ensures customer satisfaction through technical support. The Sales Engineer is an early-career professional focused on learning, execution, and collaboration.

Principal Responsibilities

Technical Support & Learning

• Assist in product demonstrations and presentations with guidance from senior team members.

• Learn to translate customer requirements into basic product solutions.

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for client use.

Customer Engagement

• Participate in client meetings to understand business and technical needs.

• Support responses to RFIs and RFPs with accurate technical input.

Solution Development

• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to support solution design.

• Contribute to proposals and presentations under supervision.

Sales Enablement

• Provide technical support during sales cycles.

• Assist with onboarding and training of new clients.

Market & Product Awareness

• Stay informed about product updates and industry basics.

• Share customer feedback with internal teams.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Software, or related field) with a P.ENG preferred.

• Eligible for registration as a professional engineer in applicable provinces or actively working toward registration.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a technical or engineering role, ideally with exposure to sales or customer-facing environments.

• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic CAD or CRM tools is an asset.
