Job Description:

What It Means to Be a Consultant at Crowe
Consulting is a dynamic business focused on solving problems for our clients and serving our core markets through innovative solutions. As technology and AI continue to reshape the consulting landscape, we are looking for individuals who are curious, adaptable, and eager to learn. At Crowe, consultants are expected to build both technical and transferable skills, think critically, and use technology to solve real business problems. In this role, you will continuously learn, collaborate across teams, and explore how tools, including emerging AI capabilities, can improve efficiency, insights, and client outcomes.

As you grow, you’ll also begin to take ownership of client relationships, contribute to account strategy, and support the delivery of high-impact work. Developing a sense of account leadership, including understanding client needs, ensuring delivery excellence, and building trusted partnerships, is part of what sets successful consultants apart.

Success in this role comes from a growth mindset, strong communication skills, advanced critical thinking, and the ability to navigate new challenges with confidence.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business, risk, compliance, audit, security, and technology processes to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Support IT audits, cybersecurity assessments, compliance reviews, technology risk assessments, and control testing.

  • Evaluate technology processes such as change management, logical access, IT operations, system security, and related controls.

  • Document business, functional, technical, and data requirements based on client needs and project scope.

  • Support the design, configuration, prototyping, testing, and implementation of GRC, compliance, financial crime, and risk management technology solutions.

  • Assist with system configuration for GRC, fraud, customer risk rating, sanctions screening, audit management, third-party risk management, operational risk management, or other risk/compliance platforms.

  • Develop and execute test plans, test scripts, user acceptance testing support, and issue tracking.

  • Support automation efforts, including scripts, testing automation, workflow improvements, UI components, reports, dashboards, and documentation.

  • Analyze data to support control testing, compliance reviews, system validation, reporting, and client decision-making.

  • Prepare client-ready documentation, including requirements, process flows, test results, user guides, training materials, reports, and presentations.

  • Collaborate with clients and teammates to translate business problems into technology-enabled, sustainable solutions.

  • Continue building technical skills in areas such as GRC platforms, cloud, automation, data analytics, AI-enabled tools, and risk technology.

Expectations:

  • Strong interest in technology, risk management, business process improvement, compliance, cybersecurity, automation, data analytics, or systems implementation.

  • Technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new platforms, tools, systems, and technical concepts.

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills to develop effective, technology-enabled solutions to address client challenges, including thoughtfully evaluating outputs from new tools and technologies.

  • Curiosity and adaptability by learning new tools and technologies, including AI-enabled capabilities, and applying them to help solve problems.

  • Ability to translate business needs into requirements, process designs, testing plans, documentation, or technical solutions.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with both business and technical stakeholders.

  • Comfort working in fast-paced, evolving environments with multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and commitment to high-quality work.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Intellectual curiosity and desire to build specialized skills in risk technology, IT controls, automation, data, cybersecurity, or GRC platforms.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset, ownership, and interest in identifying opportunities to improve client outcomes and delivery approaches.

  • Ability to build an understanding of how your work contributes to client outcomes and overall business value.

  • Willingness to travel based on client and project needs. Travel expectations may vary by team, client, and engagement type.

  • Future certification interest to include CPA, CIA, CISA, or other firm-supported credentials aligned to the consultant’s area of focus.
