This reporter will reveal the invisible system powering modern life, and help readers understand why some of the biggest stories in business and technology increasingly come down to a deceptively simple question: Where will the power come from?

• We're looking for someone who sees power as the connective tissue between AI, manufacturing, climate, economics and politics.  
• You will translate complex grid issues into stories people actually care about, and become the authority on the big topics and trends that are profoundly shaping our electric future.

Starting salary for this role is in the range of $100,000 - $150,000 and is dependent on numerous factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, and skills. This range does not include other compensation benefits. Axios' compensation philosophy takes into account cost of labor differentials across the country. Because this is a remote-optional job posting, this salary range takes into account all possible locations within the United States, but candidates will only be eligible for the salary range for their location.
