Shift: Part-Time, Weekday Evening and Weekends

Schedule: Weekday Evening and Weekends - shift will be between the hours 7:00 a.m.– 9:00 p.m.

Work schedules, including shift assignments and hours, are subject to change based on operational needs.

Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the Courtland office.

Training and all scheduled shifts will be completed onsite at 600 Courtland Street, Orlando, FL.

Candidates must disclose any current employment and scheduled work hours.

A BSN is preferred but not required at the time of hire. Candidates without a BSN will be asked to obtain one within two years of employment.

Responsible for coordinating care, educating clients, and providing protocol-driven interventions within the scope of practice to influence clinical and whole health outcomes. This position involves a collaborative approach to delivering and coordinating healthcare services to a defined population across the continuum. This role includes virtual assessment of healthcare needs, collaboration and coordination with healthcare providers, and development of a care plan with accurate documentation. In addition, this position provides exceptional customer service, anticipates and meets consumer needs, and treats all consumers and colleagues with dignity and respect. Additionally, this role works collaboratively with colleagues to achieve quality and performance standards. Responsibilities for this role include maintaining a working knowledge of service offerings, workflows, and necessary technologies.

• Provides courteous responses and excellent customer service when fielding inquiries from consumers, clinic staff, physicians, colleagues, and leaders. 
• Actively works with staff and supervisors to achieve established performance metric standards.
• Maintains knowledge of services and AdventHealth offerings to properly direct inquiries when outside of service’s scope.
• Demonstrates excellent customer-care skills and provides virtual clinical care within the nursing scope of practice.
• Utilizes critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to provide triage to symptomatic consumers in accordance with scope of practice.
• Elicits questions, concerns, and information from callers to assess symptoms, determine acuity, identify appropriate algorithm/protocol, and develop patient care plans and follow-up.
• Provides professional advice, education, and options based on assessment, established algorithm/protocol, and clinical judgment; escalates interactions to emergency response services when appropriate.
• Provides referrals to healthcare providers and community resources when appropriate; assists with follow-up or appointment scheduling when needed.
• Utilizes proper escalations when issues arise. Adheres to all established workflows, scripting, and department greetings.
• Documents all interactions and consistently updates consumer records in the relevant technology system(s). 
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Experience:

• 2+ Clinical nursing experience [Required]
• 1+ virtual care monitoring or care experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support (BLS) [Required]
