As the RVP, BrokerEdge in Ontario / Atlantic, you are accountable for driving all regional results and strengthening our market presence. Acting as both a brand ambassador and strategic leader, you will oversee a team of Business Development Managers, who will be accountable to deliver strong business results and deepen market presence. At the centre of home financing outcomes, you will collaborate with internal and external partners to gain market share, optimize strategies and ensure an exceptional client and partner experience.
Develops and maintains strategic relationships with centres of influence and third parties (e.g. Brokers, Brokerages, Builders and non-BMO Investment Advisor Offices) for designated home financing sales programs and products to. Applies market and industry expertise to deliver a winning customer experience that will grow market share. Identifies share of wallet opportunities and refers business opportunities to key partners.

- Assesses marketplace and competition opportunities to identify strengths, opportunities, and weaknesses and create long term plans that address gaps and opportunities.
- Develops and maintains key market relationships.
- Manages the regional sales programs / products delivery to maximize client referral opportunities across BMO.
- Resolves or escalates issues in a timely manner to meet customer expectations.
- Ensures the delivery of the desired customer experience meets established guidelines.
- Develops an expert understanding of business/group challenges.
- Networks with industry contacts to gather competitive insights and best practices.
- Recommends measures to improve organizational effectiveness.
- May consult to or serve on various committees and task forces.
- Recommends program design changes based on client/referral source or market segment needs to enhance program effectiveness and establish best practices.
- Provides strategic input into business decisions as a trusted advisor.
- Acts as a subject matter expert on relevant regulations and policies.
- Trains and coaches internal and external partners on program / product operational guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Provides input and expertise to develop the business case by identifying needs, analyzing potential options, and assessing expected return on investment.
- Helps determine business priorities and best sequence for execution of business / group strategy.
- Establishes strong partnerships with BMO colleagues and senior leaders in the designated market.
- Acts as the prime subject matter expert for internal/external stakeholders.
- Provides input and expertise to define business requirements for program performance metrics, analytics and reporting to ensure data insights inform business decision making.
- Breaks down program performance metrics, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
- Provides support for analysis, forecasting and/or data visualization, ensuring adherence with data governance standards.
- Leads change management of varying scope and type, including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation, and sustainment of initiatives.
- Leads the execution of the communication strategy focusing on positively influencing or changing behaviour.
- Collaborates across BMO to develop communications strategies and ensure consistency of messaging to positively influence or change behaviour.
- Assesses and adapts existing operational programs; develops new capabilities to ensure ongoing success.
- Manages multiple programs/projects simultaneously and resolves conflicting priorities.
- Provides input into the planning and implementation of operational programs.
- Identifies where performance improvement is required and works to improve or offboard partnerships.
- Negotiates pricing, underwriting and efficient presentation of applications with brokers, builders and program partners.
- Identifies and escalates any broker / partner behaviour that poses fraud, AML, reputation or other risks.
- Builds effective relationships with internal / external stakeholders to deliver the desired customer experience.
- Breaks down strategic problems, and analyzes data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
- Monitors and tracks referrals performance, and addresses any issues.
- Ensures alignment between stakeholders.
- Supports the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues.
- Operates at a group/enterprise-wide level and serves as a senior specialist resource across BMO.
- Influences how teams/groups work together.
- Applies expertise and thinks creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and to find solutions to multiple, interdependent, complex problems.

- Take measured risks while protecting the bank by applying our Risk Management Framework in the execution of your role, in line with our Risk Culture and within our approved Risk Appetite, making sound and risk informed decisions that align to business strategy, protect assets, and adhere to applicable policy documents (Frameworks, Policies, Standards, Procedures and Supporting documents), laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Typically 9+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Completion of an MBA is desirable.
- In-depth understanding of mortgage and business banking products and practices, cash flow analysis, lending process and directives, credit risk policies and standards, supporting processes, applicable legal and regulatory requirements, and Bank policies.
- In-depth knowledge of bank products and interrelationships.

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.
Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
