Are you the person we are looking for?

The QNX Sensor Framework team develops a middleware software framework that simplifies access to cameras and sensors for automotive, robotics, industrial and embedded applications.  The framework facilitates access to cameras and other sensors such as LiDAR, radar and GPS/IMU through simple C APIs.

As a member of the team, you'll help deliver production-quality software used by some of the world's leading technology companies.  This is an excellent opportunity for new graduates and junior developers to gain hands-on experience with embedded software, real-time operating systems, sensor technologies, and modern software development practices while being mentored by experienced engineers.

 

What you will do:

 

• Develop embedded software written primarily in C and C++
• Add support for new cameras, sensors, and hardware platforms
• Design and implement new framework features and APIs
• Create and enhance sample applications, tools, and utilities
• Investigate and root-cause complex technical problems
• Work directly with hardware including cameras, LiDAR, radar, GPS, and IMU sensors
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, testing, and collaborative software development
• Support customers integrating sensors and cameras into their products
• Learn from experienced engineers while contributing to production software used worldwide

 

What we are looking for:

 

• Programming skills in C and C++
• Analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of operating system fundamentals, computer architecture, and embedded systems concepts
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated with a passion for learning and building high-quality software
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline

 

It's great if you have:

 

• Experience with embedded software development, could be project, coops or professional
• Experience with QNX, Linux or other embedded operating systems
• Experience with device driver and low-level software development
• Familiarity with computer vision, image processing, graphics, or machine learning
• Experience working with cameras, sensors, robotics, or automotive systems

Compensation Hiring Base Salary Range:

$80,000.00 - $105,000.00

 

Please be advised that the compensation hiring range indicated herein is provided solely as a good-faith estimate of expected base compensation for the position. The actual compensation offered will be determined at the time of hire and is contingent upon multiple factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, demonstrated skills, and results of assessments conducted during the hiring process.
