Job Requirements:
Associates degree in area of specialty.
Five (5) or more years of manufacturing experience.
30-hour OSHA safety course a plus
Lean manufacturing
Salary Range: 77,000 USD to 88,000 USD
Responsibilities:
Work to continuously improve quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provide regular progress reports to manager.
Verify the production schedule to machine efficiency.
Direct and supply manpower for each shift. Fill overtime.
Monitor the process and quality during the shift.
Verify inventory and make corrections when needed.
Write work orders and review maintenance items needed for daily production.
Develop and communicate shift production plans through the DSC.
Maintain yearly goals and objectives.
Ensure all employees are working safely. Assist in accident investigations as needed. Own the improvement of safety through performing monthly safety inspections of manufacturing area.
Ensure work areas are clean and organized during and at end of shift.
Responsible for hourly employee payroll including vacation approval/denial.
Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned.
Qualifications/ Experience:
Supervisory experience a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Basic math skills
Highly motivated
Strong time management and priorities management skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Computer literate with knowledge of Excel. BPCS experience a plus.
Ability to interact with vendors and internal customers
Attention to detail
Metrics driven
