Wellington Management offers comprehensive investment management capabilities that span nearly all segments of the global capital markets. Our investment solutions, tailored to the unique return and risk objectives of institutional clients in more than 60 countries, draw on a robust body of proprietary research and a collaborative culture that encourages independent thought and healthy debate. As a private partnership, we believe our ownership structure fosters a long-term view that aligns our perspectives with those of our clients.

About the Role

The Product Owner, Portfolio Management & Investment Implementation Systems, is accountable for the vision, roadmap, prioritization, and outcomes of the capabilities that enable Portfolio Managers and Portfolio Analysts to make investment decisions and move an investment idea into implemented, compliant client portfolios. Scope covers portfolio construction, target management, investment implementation across constrained client accounts, pre-trade guideline adherence, and the orderly handoff of client-ready orders to the trading platform. These capabilities are enabled through Wellington's Portfolio Management System (PMS) and Portfolio Implementation platform (referred to internally as OMS – which is separate from our Trading execution platforms).

This role sits at the intersection of Investments, Trading, Implementation, Operations, Compliance, Data, and Technology. The Product Owner translates Investment Platform strategy and operating model priorities into a clear roadmap and prioritized backlog, ensuring the firm can efficiently move from portfolio intent to implementation, execution, and downstream operational processing.

The Product Owner is accountable for what is delivered, when it is delivered, and why it matters. • Engage regularly with end users and stakeholders to validate priorities, gather feedback, and ensure delivered capabilities create measurable value.

  • Manage dependencies with the trading platform (O/EMS), data, analytics, compliance, risk, and operational platforms to deliver integrated investment workflows end-to-end.

Stakeholder Management & Adoption
