Über diese Product Designer Stelle bei marshmallow
We started building Marshmallow in 2017. Since then, we’ve grown from 3 to 700+ people, gained unicorn status, raised ~£140M over three funding rounds, turned profitable, insured millions of drivers and lent millions in car loans.
But we’re only just getting started. Our goal is to become one of the largest financial services providers in the world. Over the next 10 years we’ll grow exponentially, not only by scaling our existing products, but also by building new ones.
To achieve our goals we need incredibly ambitious, commercially driven people who never settle for ‘good enough’. Marshmallowers are hungry for autonomy and ownership, and would rather improve than coast. Everyone raises standards and has an impact, with a focus on collective success over self-interest.
We’ve created an environment where curious, tenacious people win and grow together. If that sounds motivating, this could be the place for you.

We are not able to offer visa sponsorship for this position.
Marshmallow makes insurance work for everyone, including people the industry has overlooked. Your difference makes the difference, and we design for it.
We’re looking for a Product Designer to join our Telematics team. Telematics is a key part of Marshmallow’s future that sits within Acquisition and how we grow our user base.
In a nutshell, you’ll help more people get onboarded into Marshmallow by reducing friction in our sign up and activation flow. Longer term, you’ll be part of the team that build customer stickiness by working out how to reward and engage customers for being good drivers. You’ll work with a team that will back you up, and you’ll own problems from day one.
What you’ll be doing
Starting with the problem. You’ll shape what we’re solving by doing research with customers, spotting patterns, and turning what you hear into clear themes and needs the team can act on.
Designing the whole journey. Wireframes, prototypes, flow to polished screens. You’ll be translating complex concepts into clear, benefit-led experiences. You’ll be thinking about the content on the screen and edge cases too. It’s primarily customer facing, web and app but if your work touches our internal tools, you’ll be thinking about that too.
Letting data point the way. You’ll use funnel and analytics data to find where customers get stuck and where we could be causing harm. Then you’ll work with your team to fix it.
Building with engineers. You’ll work alongside them from the first idea to what’s shipped. Clear specs and smooth handoffs. If a design tweak is quicker to ship yourself, you can raise the PR.
Working in a cross-functional team. Product managers, engineers, operations, data and other designers. You’ll continuously challenge and learn from each other.
Bringing stakeholders with you. Acquisition gets a lot of attention here. You’ll form your own opinions, explain your thinking, and keep people in the loop. You won’t be doing it alone, and we’ll help you build the skill.
Looking after the design system. Contribute to it, keep things consistent with our brand, and flag anything that doesn’t fit so we can sort it.
Using AI every day. For research, analysis and production. Try tools, keep what works, and share it with the team.
You should apply if
You have a commercial instinct. You have good gut instinct on what makes a product work and a portfolio that backs up what you’ve shipped having good business impact.
You have a proactive mind-set. You look to make continuous improvement to the products that you are working on. You find issues and features, write up tickets and ship them when they’re ready.
You are actively using AI. You’ve used AI to optimise your workflow and create efficiency gains whether that’s building prototypes, shipping to production, analysing data or conducting research.
You prefer to ship quickly and learn. We like to move quickly and learn from real data. This means being able to spot when good is good enough and iterating.
