Working within an international environment, the Procurement team combines strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management and procurement transformation to deliver value and support Eurostar's operational performance.
Purpose of the role :
As a Procurement Intern, you will join the Procurement Service Delivery team and gain hands-on experience across procurement operations, strategic sourcing and procurement transformation activities.
You will contribute to a wide range of initiatives, including market analysis, supplier benchmarking, procurement governance, tender support, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement projects.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop a practical understanding of procurement within an international transport organisation while working alongside experienced Procurement Managers and Category Managers.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Procurement Support
- Support Procurement Managers in the preparation and delivery of tenders across a variety of categories including Marketing, HR, Facilities, IT and Professional Services.
- Analyse supplier markets, identify potential new suppliers and support commercial benchmarking exercises.
- Gather and analyse internal and external data to support procurement strategies and negotiations
- Assist in supplier evaluations and commercial assessments
- Contribute to procurement reporting and performance monitoring
Procurement Transformation & Governance
- Support the continuous improvement of procurement processes, tools and ways of working
- Assist with procurement governance activities, including the Commitment Board and Contract Signature processes
- Monitor compliance with procurement policies and procedures
- Contribute to procurement transformation projects and change initiatives
Procurement Operations
- Maintain procurement templates, databases and documentation
- Support the administration of procurement and tender management tools
- Manage and maintain procurement knowledge repositories and intranet content
- Ensure procurement information remains accurate, up to date and accessible
Stakeholder & Project Support
- Assist in organising workshops, training sessions and supplier meetings
- Support cross-functional stakeholders during procurement activities
- Lead selected low-risk procurement projects under the supervision of senior procurement professionals
- Collaborate with teams based in Brussels, Paris and London

Requirements
- Education : Master's degree student (or final year Bachelor's student) in: Business, Economics, Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance or any related discipline
- Skills & Competencies : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, Curious and eager to learn about procurement and business operations, Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, Ability to manage multiple priorities, Autonomous and proactive mindset, Strong interpersonal and communication skills, Comfortable working with data and digital tools
- Languages : Fluent English (mandatory), Fluent French (mandatory)
- Technical Skills: Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, Knowledge of Power BI or data analysis tools would be an advantage
- Others : Interest in data analytics and procurement technologies.
