💰 Our Finance team
The Finance team ensures Joko's financial health and long-term success. We manage everything from financial planning and accounting to financing and cash management.
We make sure every euro is put to its best use, working closely with all teams, we provide the insights and structure needed to scale efficiently.
As we scale, we're splitting Finance into three specialized poles: FP&A, Finance Operations, and Procurement. This role anchors Procurement — a brand-new function at Joko. You'll report directly to Tanguy, our VP Finance.
✨ Why this role is special
Procurement doesn't exist yet at Joko — you'd be the first hire, building spend governance from scratch with high autonomy and direct exposure to leadership.
A blank page: there's no existing playbook to inherit or unlearn — you design the vendor negotiation process, the P2P workflow, and the spend governance culture from day one.
Real scope, real stakes: our spend is heading toward €20M+ in 2027 across tools, infrastructure, marketing, and G&A — what you build has immediate, visible impact.
Cross-functional reach: you'll work directly with Finance, Legal, BizOps, Marketing, and Tech, negotiating deals that shape how every team operates.
🎯 What you will do
As Procurement Manager, your main mission is to make sure every euro Joko commits is negotiated, governed, and tracked against clear value — a responsibility that only grows as our spend scope heads toward €20M+ in 2027.
Your responsibilities will include:
Own vendor negotiations company-wide: marketing & influencer spend, tools, infrastructure, hiring fees, G&A, outsourcing;
Generate measurable savings on existing spend: and make sure every commitment — new or renewed — is worth what we're paying for it;
Build and maintain a vendor performance framework: mapping and rationalizing our supplier base;
Foster a culture across the company where every euro counts;
Own the Investment Request database: making sure spend above threshold always goes through proper approval;
Track spend by category: and flag overspend to budget owners, working closely with FP&A;
Implement our procure-to-pay process: POs, approval workflows, payment matching.
👀 Who we're looking for
Experience: A senior profile able to operate independently from day one — ideally 6+ years in procurement, vendor negotiation, or strategic sourcing, from a tech scale-up, consulting, or corporate procurement background.
Education: A master's degree from a top business or engineering school.
Negotiation as a craft: Real, demonstrable experience running vendor negotiations and structuring deals that hold up over time.
Business acumen: You weigh cost against strategic value, not just the price on a contract, and know which trade-offs are worth making.
Communication: You explain vendor deals and spend trade-offs clearly to stakeholders who aren't finance or procurement specialists.
Project management: You run multiple negotiations and rollouts in parallel without dropping deadlines.
Stakeholder management: You build trust and influence across Finance, Legal, BizOps, Marketing, and Tech — without formal authority over their budgets.
Mindset: Entrepreneurial and autonomous — this is a build-from-zero function with no existing internal playbook.
AI centricity: You use AI in your daily work today, and you're excited to help drive smarter spend governance as part of Joko's AI-first ambition.
Languages: Fluent English and French.
