The Principal Solutions Consultant is a senior, customer-facing technical and business advisor who plays a critical role in driving complex, strategic sales opportunities for PTC. This role blends deep domain expertise in CAD, Digital Thread, and manufacturing enterprise processes with executive-level communication, solution architecture, and deal leadership capabilities.

As a recognized subject matter expert, the Senior Principal Solutions Consultant partners closely with Sales, Services, and Product teams to shape differentiated solutions, articulate business value, and influence customer transformation strategies across engineering, manufacturing, and IT organizations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Pre-Sales Leadership

- Lead complex, high-value pre-sales engagements for strategic and enterprise accounts.

- Partner with Sales Account Managers to define account strategies and drive successful deal outcomes.

- Provide executive-level solution positioning aligned to customer business objectives.

Solution Architecture & Demonstrations

- Design and deliver role-based demonstrations articulating end-to-end Digital Thread and CAD value.

- Present to executive and technical stakeholders, adapting messaging to audience needs.

- Adjust demonstrations dynamically based on customer feedback and priorities.

Business & Process Consulting

- Analyze engineering and manufacturing processes to identify transformation opportunities.

- Translate customer challenges into scalable solution architectures.

- Advise on IT, data, and integration strategies supporting enterprise CAD initiatives.

Deal Support & Thought Leadership

- Lead and contribute to RFI/RFP responses.

- Provide solution risk assessment and feasibility guidance.

- Mentor junior consultants and contribute reusable solution assets.

Required Qualifications

- 15+ years in pre-sales consulting, solution architecture, or IT leadership or mechanical engineer in manufacturing.

- Strong CAD/CAM/CAE experience; PTC Creo preferred.

- Proven enterprise software sales or implementation track record.

- Deep understanding of engineering, manufacturing, and Digital Thread concepts.

- Strong presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
