We are seeking an experienced and strategic Principal Solutions Architect to provide architecture leadership across our Commercial, Service, Systems, and Installed Base (IB) domains. This role will serve as the senior technical authority responsible for defining and governing the end-to-end architecture strategy that enables scalable, integrated, and data-driven business capabilities across the enterprise.
As a key member of the Enterprise Data & Analytics organization, the Principal Solutions Architect will drive the evolution of our modern data platform, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technology investments while establishing architectural standards, integration patterns, and long-term roadmaps. The role will play a critical part in accelerating digital transformation initiatives focused on data products, analytics, AI, and enterprise-scale integration.
Based in Cork, Ireland, the successful candidate will partner closely with business leaders, product teams, architects, and engineering organizations across EMEA, North America, and APAC to deliver a cohesive enterprise architecture strategy.
What you will do
Enterprise Architecture Leadership
Define and own the architectural vision and roadmap across Commercial, Service, Systems, and Installed Base domains.
Lead the design of scalable, secure, and maintainable enterprise solutions that support long-term business growth.
Establish and govern architecture standards, design principles, reusable frameworks, and best practices across data and application ecosystems.
Ensure architectural alignment across strategic programs, technology investments, and enterprise transformation initiatives.
Act as the highest-level technical advisor for complex solution design decisions and cross-functional initiatives.
Data & Platform Strategy
Drive the evolution of the enterprise data platform leveraging technologies such as Snowflake, Coalesce, Azure Data Factory, Fivetran, and related cloud technologies.
Define and promote a unified enterprise data model that connects customer, commercial, service, systems, and asset information.
Ensure consistency of master data, business semantics, governance standards, and data quality across domains.
Enable scalable data products that support analytics, self-service reporting, operational insights, and AI/ML use cases.
Champion modern architectural approaches that improve platform flexibility, performance, and business value.
Business & Stakeholder Partnership
Partner with senior business leaders to understand strategic objectives and translate them into technology roadmaps.
Collaborate with product management, engineering, data teams, and business stakeholders to prioritize architectural initiatives.
Lead architecture reviews and provide oversight for major programs to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on technology strategy, risks, opportunities, and investment decisions.
Integration & Solution Governance
Define integration architecture patterns across CRM, ERP, Service, Digital, Customer Experience, and enterprise systems.
Drive cross-domain alignment to reduce duplication, minimize technical debt, and promote reusable solutions.
Ensure solutions meet enterprise requirements for security, compliance, scalability, resilience, and operational supportability.
Establish governance processes that enable consistent architecture decision-making across global teams.
Technology Innovation & AI
Identify opportunities to leverage advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and automation capabilities.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies that support business outcomes.
Lead architecture direction for AI-enabled solutions and data-driven business capabilities.
Promote innovation while maintaining enterprise standards and governance.
Leadership & Mentorship
Mentor solution architects, technical leads, and engineering teams across the organization.
Drive architectural maturity through coaching, knowledge sharing, and adoption of best practices.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence.
Influence technology direction across multiple business units and global teams.
What we look for
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Master's degree preferred.
Experience
12+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, data architecture, or related technology leadership roles.
Significant experience designing and delivering large-scale enterprise solutions in complex global organizations.
Proven track record of leading architecture strategy across multiple business domains and technology platforms.
Experience supporting digital transformation, platform modernization, and enterprise data initiatives.
Experience working directly with executive stakeholders and influencing strategic technology decisions.
Technical Expertise
Strong expertise in modern cloud-based data platforms and analytics ecosystems.
Deep knowledge of Snowflake and modern data warehousing architectures.
Experience with Coalesce, Azure Data Factory, Fivetran, data integration technologies, and data governance frameworks.
Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, APIs, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems.
Knowledge of data modeling, master data management, data governance, metadata management, and data quality practices.
Familiarity with analytics, AI/ML platforms, and modern data product methodologies.
Understanding of enterprise security, compliance, privacy, and scalability requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting Commercial, Service, Manufacturing, Customer Experience, or Installed Base business domains.
Experience in global matrix organizations with geographically distributed teams.
Cloud certifications in Azure, Snowflake, or enterprise architecture frameworks.
Experience implementing data mesh, data products, or domain-oriented architecture approaches.
Knowledge of enterprise architecture methodologies such as TOGAF or equivalent frameworks.
