Role Overview  

Process Innovation team drives process improvement across the entire supply chain by analyzing Coupang's processes and supports the implementation/settlement of the items on the field, thereby contributing to enhancing Coupang's competitiveness. Improving process & cost are the primary goals for this role.

These roles require scoping and creating project plans, developing processes, coordinating and driving execution, and communicating to senior management on status, risks and process/product changes. Cross-team coordination, project management.

What You Will Do 

• Own and drive strategic process innovation initiatives across the fulfillment center network, identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, cost, and customer experience.
• Lead network-level programs and process transformation initiatives, ensuring scalable and standardized solutions across multiple fulfillment centers.
• Define, implement, and continuously improve operational processes, standard work, and governance mechanisms to support business growth and operational excellence.
• Utilize data analytics, performance metrics, and structured problem-solving methodologies to identify process gaps, uncover root causes, and develop sustainable solutions.
• Lead cross-functional projects and programs involving Operations, Technology, Planning, Analytics, Finance, Engineering, and other business stakeholders to deliver measurable business impact.
• Drive the design, testing, and deployment of innovative process improvements, automation opportunities, and productivity-enhancing solutions.
• Conduct deep dives on recurring operational challenges, service disruptions, and performance variances, ensuring systematic root cause elimination and long-term corrective actions.
• Develop business cases, influence senior stakeholders, and secure alignment on process improvement initiatives and investment opportunities.
• Establish mechanisms to monitor key operational metrics, measure program success, and track realization of expected benefits.
• Mentor and guide process innovation team members while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, experimentation, and operational excellence.
• Partner with regional and global stakeholders to benchmark best practices and implement scalable solutions across the network.
• Act as a thought leader in process innovation by leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, automation, and emerging technologies to optimize fulfillment operations.

Basic Qualifications  

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Design, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related STEM field.
• 8+ years of experience working cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical teams.
• 8+ years of program management, project management, process improvement, or operational excellence experience.
• 8+ years of experience delivering large-scale cross-functional projects or programs with measurable business impact.
• Experience defining program requirements, establishing success metrics, and using data-driven methodologies to identify and implement improvements.
• Demonstrated experience conducting complex data analysis, root cause investigations, and translating insights into scalable operational solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, highly ambiguous environment.

Preferred Qualifications 

• 6+ years of experience driving continuous improvement, process optimization, Lean, Six Sigma, or operational excellence initiatives.
• Master's degree or MBA in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Instructional Design, or a related field.
• Experience leading large-scale operational transformation, automation, or technology implementation programs.
• Experience working within fulfillment, logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, e-commerce, or equivalent operational environments.
• Strong analytical capabilities with experience using data visualization, reporting, and decision-support tools.
• Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and successfully lead diverse stakeholder groups across multiple functions.
• Experience mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin and English.
