Rho · Vor Ort · Salt Lake City

About Us

Rho is the modern banking platform built for startups. Open accounts in minutes, issue cards, manage expenses, pay bills, and close the books – all in one connected platform backed by real human support.

About the Role

At Rho, we believe that who we hire - and how we take care of them once they're here - is central to what we can accomplish. As our People Partner, you'll be a trusted advisor to local people managers and a steady, familiar presence for employees across the business - the person people know to bring things to, and the person managers lean on as questions and challenges come up.

This role blends local partnership with broader program ownership. Day to day, you'll be the face of the People function for managers and employees in our Salt Lake City office. Beyond that, you'll take the lead on cross-functional and cross-geography projects - owning them end to end, from design through rollout - and collaborate with People Partners and stakeholders across our other offices to make sure our programs work well for everyone, not just one location.

You'll work closely with our Lead People Business Partner and the broader People team, and you'll be the face of the People function for managers and employees in our Salt Lake City office. Above all, you'll be able to speak to our mission as a People team and embed that into everything you touch - this role is as much about how we show up for people as it is about what gets done.

What Your Day-to-Day Might Look Like

  • Building or improving a process - a tracker, a template, a workflow - that saves the team time down the line

  • Leading a cross-functional project from kickoff to rollout, like a new performance review cycle, an onboarding revamp, or a comp benchmarking effort

  • Owning a piece of a global People initiative, like benefits open enrollment or a policy rollout, and making sure it lands well locally

  • Pulling data together for an internal or external audit, or to spot a trend worth flagging to leadership

  • Presenting a process or policy change to managers and translating "why we're doing this" into something that actually resonates

  • Coaching a manager through a tricky performance conversation or how to engage top talent

  • Answering an employee's benefits question or walking them through an equity vesting question

  • Processing new hire paperwork (I-9s, onboarding logistics) and handling offboarding details with care

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a trusted, ongoing partner to local people managers, coaching them through the people challenges that come with running a team.

  • Support employees across the full arc of their time at Rho, from their first day through everything that follows.

  • Partner on employee relations, bringing sound judgment and discretion to sensitive situations.

  • Support audit and compliance work in partnership with both internal and external control functions.

  • Own the operational and administrative work that comes with running a People function well - precision and pride in the details matter here.

  • Spot gaps and build better ways of doing things - our business is always evolving, and you'll help scale our processes right along with it, including using AI to speed up repetitive work like documentation, tracking, and reporting.

  • Be a visible, trusted face of the People function for managers and employees in SLC.

What You Bring

  • 3-5+ years of experience in HR or People Ops, ideally in a fast-paced or high-growth environment.

  • A natural instinct for partnership - you build trust with managers and employees quickly and keep it over time.

  • The ability to speak fluently to a People team's mission and make it tangible in day-to-day work, not just on paper.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and real pride in precise, accurate work.

  • High ownership and follow-through: you take a challenge and run it to resolution.

  • Discretion and sound judgment handling sensitive, confidential matters.

  • Strong written and verbal communication across a range of audiences and situations.

Our people are our most valuable asset. Our target compensation range for this role is $85,000 - $130,000. In addition to base pay, Rho offers equity, comprehensive healthcare benefits, and paid time off.
