The Operations Internship is a hands-on programme for students and early-career professionals who want to leverage advanced technical skills to optimise business processes and deliver high-impact, scalable solutions in the music tech industry.

In this transversal role, you will act as a bridge between client needs and robust technical execution. Not only in achieving its objectives but in implementing automation solutions. Your contributions will directly impact the quality and efficiency of deliveries to BMAT customers, making you an integral part of our mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the troubleshooting and technical problem-solving for complex issues affecting the quality of our monitoring and reporting services.
• Contribute to the maintenance and evolution of our operational and recording systems (familiarity with Linux/Bash scripting is a strong plus).
• Design and implement automation scripts and tools (using languages like Python and SQL/MongoDB) to replace manual tasks, optimising the management of large volumes of data.
• Ensure data quality and the scalability of implemented solutions, providing clear technical documentation for knowledge transfer.

You will collaborate closely with the Operations team and the Business Line, reporting directly to the Operations Manager. 

Requirements

• Preferably +1 year experience working with large datasets, focusing on data analysis or data processing.
• Experience managing larger, multi-step projects or client setups.
• Experience providing direct client support in a technical environment.
• Strong sense of ownership and commitment to delivering excellent service and results to assigned clients.
• Knowledge and experience in the music industry is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong computer literacy and data handling skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with coding and database access is a plus. Basic skills in Python, SQL/MongoDB, or Bash scripting are highly valued.
• Comfortable dealing with large amounts of data and numbers.
• Demonstrate strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
• Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English is a must.

Please note: We are hiring for multiple Operations positions, and language requirements may vary depending on the role. Fluency in English is required for all positions, while additional languages such as French, Italian or Portuguese may be required for specific roles.

Expectations of the role 

Within 30 Days:

• During the first month, your primary focus will be on familiarising yourself with essential aspects of the role and supporting foundational tasks.
• Gain understanding of our products and their value proposition for our clients.
• Execute your tasks under the supervision of the Operations Manager.

Within 60 Days:

• By the second month, you'll be expected to autonomously manage tasks and actively contribute to projects. 
• Take care of the Key Responsibilities autonomously, ensure the desired outcome.
• Support Operations and contribute to the team objectives and workflows.
• Report  incidents to the Operations Manager as well as propose potential improvements. 

Internship Details

Duration: 4 Months

Workload: Up to 40 hours/week

Location: Hybrid (Barcelona preferred, some remote work possible)

Compensation: Paid internship
