The Opportunity

At Hitachi Energy, we are looking for a Continuous Improvement & Communications Specialist to drive operational excellence, value creation, and stakeholder engagement across the organization. This role combines Continuous Improvement (CI) expertise with strategic communication capabilities to support business transformation initiatives and strengthen organizational effectiveness.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities, lead Lean Six Sigma projects, and implement sustainable solutions that deliver measurable business results. In addition, you will play a key role in developing communication strategies, enabling change management, and ensuring effective stakeholder engagement across global teams.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to enhance operational performance and deliver measurable business value.
• Lead and manage CI projects from identification through implementation, ensuring targets, timelines, and expected outcomes are achieved.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify process inefficiencies, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Monitor project performance, track value realization, and establish sustainment plans to ensure long-term business benefits.
• Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities to strengthen Continuous Improvement capabilities across teams.
• Develop communication strategies, presentations, and stakeholder engagement materials that support business initiatives and organizational change.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote best practices, drive process standardization, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Support performance management initiatives through data-driven insights, reporting, and business process optimization.
• Prepare and deliver executive-level communications, status updates, and project reports for key stakeholders.
• Act as a change champion by advocating operational excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning across the organization.

Your Background

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, Communication, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, Process Improvement, or related roles.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, DMAIC, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Experience leading improvement projects and delivering measurable business outcomes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and project management skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills with the ability to work effectively across global teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting organizational change management and communication initiatives.
• Experience in operations, supply chain, shared services, or process excellence environments.
• Knowledge of performance management frameworks, value stream mapping, and business transformation programs.
• Exposure to global stakeholder management and cross-functional project execution.
