Inside the Role

The Offline Supervisor is responsible for the strategy and daily operation of the second-shift Offline Repair area. This position leads the safe and efficient diagnosis, repair, verification, and release of units requiring work outside the normal production process.

The successful candidate will manage staffing and repair priorities, coordinate cross-functional support, develop employees, and drive improvements in safety, quality, repair time, workflow, and delivery performance.

Position offers a starting salary range of $95,000 - $121,000 USD 

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience.

What You Drive at DTNA

  • Lead second-shift Offline operations, including safety, staffing, work assignments, repair priorities, quality, productivity, and shift performance.
  • Manage units through diagnosis, repair, inspection, verification, documentation, and release while ensuring work meets approved quality standards and technical requirements.
  • Coordinate with Production, Quality, Engineering, Materials, Maintenance, Logistics, and other support functions to resolve technical issues, parts shortages, and other barriers to completion.
  • Monitor repair progress and adjust resources and priorities based on production needs, unit status, parts availability, and delivery requirements.
  • Provide clear shift communication through start-up meetings, performance updates, issue escalation, repair tracking, and effective handoffs between shifts.
  • Analyze recurring defects, repair delays, and workflow constraints to support corrective actions and improve repair time, throughput, first-time quality, and work-in-process.
  • Coach and develop employees through performance feedback, accountability, problem-solving, cross-training, and consistent application of company policies and standard work.
  • Maintain an organized and professional work environment by ensuring the proper use of tools, equipment, documentation, visual management, workplace organization, and safety requirements.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • BS/BA and 4+ years of relevant experience OR 6+ years relevant experience leading teams of people in a high volume manufacturing or logistics setting in lieu of a degree.
  • Previous leadership experience in manufacturing, production, repair, maintenance, quality, or a related operational environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead employees, manage changing priorities, solve problems, and coordinate work across multiple departments.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing safety, product quality, standard work, production processes, and technical documentation.
  • Strong communication, organization, coaching, and decision-making skills.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work second shift and support overtime or schedule changes based on business requirements.

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Four or more years of manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Experience leading an offline repair, production repair, rework, quality containment, or vehicle diagnostic operation.
  • Knowledge of commercial vehicle or heavy-equipment manufacturing and mechanical, electrical, air, hydraulic, or chassis systems.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, standard work, root-cause analysis, corrective action, visual management, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience using operational data, repair-tracking systems, and employee skill development to improve team performance.
