About the role

• Build broad clinical experience through a structured rotational program across a range of areas, including General Medicine/Surgery, Cardiology, Stroke, Orthopaedics, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Aged Care and Rehabilitation
• Deliver patient-centred Occupational Therapy across the St Vincent’s Hospital campus, including assessment, goal setting, intervention, education and discharge planning in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
• Develop your clinical skills with dedicated support, working under the guidance of experienced Senior Occupational Therapists and receiving supervision tailored to your level of experience
• Grow your professional practice through ongoing education, clinical supervision and opportunities to contribute to quality improvement, research, service development and student supervision
• Work collaboratively to support positive patient outcomes, effective discharge planning and patient flow, while practising safely within your scope of practice and using resources responsibly

About you

We welcome applications from new Occupational Therapy graduates and clinicians with no more than 12 months experience.

• Current unrestricted NSW Class C Driver’s Licence and hold or be in the process of obtaining a recognised Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy and registration with AHPRA
• Clinical knowledge and experience across acute and sub-acute hospital settings, with sound clinical reasoning and professional judgement
• Knowledge of Occupational Therapy standards and Code of Ethics, with a commitment to quality improvement and ongoing professional development
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated computer literacy and experience using health information systems
• Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and work within scope of practice
• Ability to work flexible weekends as per service requirements
