Role Description
At Atlas, we believe every provider should have access to the best tools and resources to deliver personalized support to their patients as they navigate a complex healthcare system. We are seeking an experienced Network Development Manager to own the growth of our cadre of oncology practice partners, negotiating and closing partnership agreements, and giving those practices access to our services and alternative revenue streams that complement their existing operations and business model.
In this role, you work closely with the Sr. Director, Provider Growth to build a presence in the oncology market, evangelizing and educating prospective partners about the Atlas Care Model. This includes sourcing leads, qualifying prospective partners, developing supporting materials, supporting collaborative diligence, meeting with prospective physician partners, assisting with the negotiation of contracts with physician practices, and serving as a long-term contact to providers during and after implementation of the Atlas Care Model. Further, you will be tasked with providing feedback to the clinical and operations teams at Atlas to help incorporate feature improvements in our clinical and engagement models that better respond to the needs and desires of our physician partners.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Own the provider partner business development process end-to-end for your territory, from sourcing and qualification through diligence, negotiations, and contracting, for deals ranging from the hundreds of thousands to multiple millions of dollars in contract value
Build and lead long-term relationships with physician partners in your designated region or area, driving execution of Atlas’ growth strategy
Lead cross-functional collaboration with product, operations, and clinical teams to align solutions with provider needs
Track industry trends and competitive dynamics to shape and sharpen pursuit strategy
Drive refinement of the growth strategy in partnership with the Sr. Director, Provider Growth and members of the executive team, as needed
Territory: The territory is anticipated to span multiple regions, including the Southeast and Midwest. Final territory scope will be discussed during the interview process and may evolve based on business needs.
Reporting: This role will initially report to the Sr. Director, Provider Growth
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years of healthcare experience, including provider growth, partnerships, and/or strategy
Demonstrated ability to organize a sales enablement portfolio, including tools, processes, and development activities to ensure the in-market team is differentiated through knowledge and proficiency
Proven ability to collaborate with internal teams to manage existing provider accounts through implementation with strong performance and retention
Ability to travel at least 50% of the time
Comfort with change, process improvement, and working in a start-up or high-growth organization
Proficiency with HubSpot or comparable CRM systems for pipeline management and reporting
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience communicating with healthcare providers & practice administrators
Proven track record of accomplishment on complex provider business development
Strong retention and track record in keeping and honing mutually beneficial partnerships
Deep understanding of value-based care (VBC) programs (e.g., STARS, RAF) and provider friction points with payers (e.g., utilization management, treatment selection autonomy)
Detail-oriented and highly organized; able to proactively manage a pipeline
Compensation and Benefits
Base annual compensation is anticipated to be between $110,000 and $150,000 plus additional performance pay based on individual and corporate performance.
