Reporting directly to the Head of EUC & Assets, the Microsoft 365 Solutions Lead is a pivotal enterprise technology leadership role responsible for the strategic ownership, governance and optimisation of St Vincent’s Health Australia’s Microsoft 365 ecosystem. This includes Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Exchange Online, Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft Viva, Microsoft Entra ID and Power Platform services. The role is responsible for ensuring our digital workplace remains secure, compliant, innovative and aligned to organisational priorities while supporting more than 30,000 employees, contractors and partners nationally.

You will drive the future direction of Microsoft 365, digital workplace technologies and Copilot AI-enabled productivity across SVHA, working closely with Cyber Security, Infrastructure Operations, Service Management, Information Management and business stakeholders to maximise organisational value from Microsoft technologies. You will also serve as SVHA’s primary operational relationship manager for Microsoft, helping shape the organisation’s digital workplace roadmap.

This is a Permanent Full-Time position based in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne with a hybrid working arrangement of three days per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and govern SVHA’s enterprise Microsoft 365 platform and associated services.
• Develop and maintain the strategic roadmap for Microsoft 365, Digital Workplace and Copilot capabilities.
• Lead governance, adoption and value realisation initiatives for Microsoft Copilot and AI-enabled workplace technologies.
• Optimise Microsoft licensing investments through utilisation analysis, forecasting and commercial governance.
• Manage strategic relationships with Microsoft, support providers and licensing partners.
• Lead organisational adoption, communication and change initiatives that increase productivity and employee experience outcomes.
• Monitor platform health, performance, governance compliance and service maturity, providing strategic insights and recommendations to leadership.

Microsoft 365 Strategy & Governance

• Establish and maintain enterprise governance frameworks, standards and operating models across Microsoft 365 services.
• Define and execute the strategic roadmap for Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Exchange Online, Viva, Entra ID and related services.
• Evaluate emerging Microsoft technologies and identify opportunities to improve collaboration, productivity and business outcomes.
• Contribute to the evolution of SVHA’s Digital Workplace and AI strategies.

Microsoft 365 Service Ownership

• Act as the enterprise owner and custodian of the Microsoft 365 platform.
• Ensure services remain secure, compliant, scalable and aligned to organisational requirements.
• Manage tenant governance, administration standards, delegated access and platform lifecycle activities.
• Drive continual service improvement and platform maturity initiatives.

Microsoft Copilot & AI Enablement

• Lead governance, administration and adoption of Microsoft Copilot capabilities across the organisation.
• Develop standards, policies and best-practice guidance supporting the responsible use of AI technologies.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation and emerging Microsoft capabilities to improve employee productivity and experience.
• Partner with stakeholders to develop use cases and value realisation outcomes.

Security, Compliance & Information Governance

• Support information protection, data governance, records management and lifecycle management capabilities.
• Partner with Cyber Security, Information Management and Risk teams to maintain a secure and compliant environment.
• Ensure Microsoft 365 governance aligns with privacy, healthcare and regulatory requirements.

Microsoft Relationship & Commercial Management

• Serve as SVHA’s primary operational liaison with Microsoft and Microsoft Unified Support.
• Coordinate support escalations, strategic engagement activities and roadmap discussions.
• Support management of SVHA’s Microsoft licensing portfolio through utilisation monitoring, forecasting and optimisation activities.
• Partner with Procurement, Finance and Microsoft representatives to maximise value from the organisation’s Microsoft investment.

Stakeholder Engagement & Adoption

• Build trusted partnerships across clinical, corporate, aged care and technology teams.
• Lead communication, organisational readiness and adoption activities supporting new platform capabilities.
• Promote modern ways of working and increase user adoption of collaboration, digital workplace and AI technologies.
• Translate complex technical concepts into practical business outcomes that deliver measurable value.

What You’ll Bring

• Extensive experience administering and governing enterprise-scale Microsoft 365 environments.
• Strong expertise across Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Exchange Online and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience developing governance frameworks, platform standards and operating models.
• Knowledge of Microsoft licensing, subscription management and commercial governance.
• Experience leading vendor relationships and working within large, complex enterprise environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
• Experience delivering adoption, organisational change and continual improvement initiatives.
• Ability to translate technology opportunities into strategic business outcomes.

Highly Regarded

• Microsoft Copilot administration and adoption experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview, information protection and records management.
• Experience with Microsoft Viva and Power Platform governance.
• Experience in healthcare or other highly regulated environments.
• ITIL certification and Microsoft certifications across Microsoft 365, Security, Compliance or Copilot.
