Location/Division Specific Information

This position supports our manufacturing operations by helping maintain the equipment and facility systems needed to safely and reliably produce high-quality products. You will work alongside experienced maintenance and operations colleagues while developing hands-on technical skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

How Will You Make an Impact?

As an Entry-Level Maintenance Technician, you will help keep our manufacturing equipment and facility systems operating safely and efficiently. Your work will support equipment reliability, minimize production interruptions, and contribute to our commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

A Day in the Life

• Perform routine preventive maintenance, inspections, adjustments, and basic repairs on manufacturing and facility equipment.
• Assist experienced technicians with troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and other equipment-related issues.
• Respond to equipment issues and work with production colleagues to identify problems and restore equipment to normal operation.
• Complete assigned work orders and accurately document maintenance activities in accordance with site procedures.
• Perform basic equipment cleaning, lubrication, parts replacement, and other scheduled maintenance activities.
• Use common hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment safely and appropriately.
• Identify equipment abnormalities, safety concerns, and opportunities for improvement and communicate them to the appropriate team members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following site safety, quality, and cGMP requirements.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to build technical knowledge and maintenance troubleshooting skills.
• Support additional maintenance and facility activities as assigned.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical, vocational, or trade school coursework in industrial maintenance, mechanical systems, electrical systems, mechatronics, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Experience

• Required: Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting, maintenance environment, or related field.
• Preferred: Experience working in a cGMP or other regulated manufacturing environment.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Basic mechanical aptitude with an interest in learning how manufacturing equipment and systems operate.
• Ability to use common hand and power tools safely.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or automated equipment systems preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn equipment troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to follow written procedures, work instructions, safety requirements, and maintenance documentation practices.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to completing work safely and correctly.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with maintenance, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and other colleagues.
• Ability to prioritize assigned tasks and respond appropriately to changing production needs.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other site systems.
• Demonstrated reliability, initiative, and willingness to develop new technical skills.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

• Ability to work in a manufacturing and maintenance environment and follow all required safety procedures and personal protective equipment requirements.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and perform hands-on maintenance activities for extended periods.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, push, or pull tools, parts, and equipment in accordance with site requirements.
• Ability to work around manufacturing equipment, mechanical systems, and varying noise levels.
• Ability to use ladders or work at elevated locations when properly trained and authorized.
• May occasionally work in confined or restricted-access areas when properly trained and authorized.
• Ability to work scheduled shifts and provide occasional overtime, weekend, or off-shift support based on business needs.
