We're looking for an organised, detail-oriented Merchandise Assistant to join the Bash merch team.
This role supports the buying and online merchandising process end-to-end; from order administration to product upload and imagery coordination. It's a great entry point into retail merchandising: some exposure to merch, buying, and e-commerce is a bonus, but we're just as interested in someone eager to learn, happy to get stuck into admin, new systems, repetitive tasks, and reliable under a busy workload.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Buying & Order Admin
- Support the team with placement, changes, and amendments of purchase orders
- Help maintain the buyplan ‘order book/buy-plan’ checking orders are placed on time, info is correct, and deliveries land as expected
- Compile, balance, and update spreadsheets and reports for the wider merch team
- Liaise with the inbound supply chain team on PO/delivery queries and investigations
Online Product & Imagery
- Ensure products are uploaded online on time, with correct imagery and sequencing
- Capture product attributes, categories, brands, descriptions and specs
- Check images are loaded correctly and help source/upload samples where needed
- Assist briefing imagery to studio and following up to completion
- Support quality assurance and audit checks on samples and imagery
General Support
- Investigate and help resolve product issues (system and reporting checks)
- Triage and prioritise vendor queries, escalating where needed
- Help coordinate elements for campaigns, promotions, and launches
- Build good working relationships with suppliers, studio, and internal teams
- Chase outstanding tasks across tracking documentation
- Work with inbound to resolve queries and order issues
- General office admin and ad hoc duties as required
WHO YOU ARE:
This job is for you if you have:

Matric or equivalent NQF level 4

Exposure to merchabdising, retail, and/or e-commerce

Experience with Excel/Google Sheets (basic formulas; willingness to learn pivots and vlookups)
- A problem-solving mindset and a genuine appetite to grow into the merch function
