About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Medical Virtual Assistant to join our team, with a strong background in insurance verification and healthcare administrative support.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and confident communicating with insurance providers to verify patient eligibility, benefits, coverage, and other insurance-related information.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform insurance eligibility and benefits verification for patients.
• Contact insurance companies to confirm coverage, benefits, deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and authorization requirements.
• Accurately document insurance verification results and patient information.
• Identify and communicate insurance discrepancies or coverage issues.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers and internal teams regarding insurance requirements.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
• Perform other medical administrative and virtual assistant duties as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant, Medical Administrative Assistant, or similar healthcare support role.
• Hands-on experience in insurance verification is required.
• Strong understanding of health insurance eligibility, benefits, and verification processes.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Comfortable working with healthcare systems, insurance portals, and electronic medical records.
• Reliable internet connection and a suitable remote-work environment.

Preferred Experience

Experience working with Kaiser and Anthem Insurance is a strong advantage and will be highly considered.
