Why We Hire
Rakuten Travel revamped its inbound accommodation booking site in 2022 and is offering a wide range of travel experiences with the aim of becoming Asia’s number one travel company. The Media Content Group supports Rakuten Travel’s creative activities by sourcing and managing photographic and video content used on the website and across social media platforms.

Our long-term vision is to consistently deliver content that appeals to travellers across all businesses under the Rakuten Travel umbrella. To realise this vision, we are seeking individuals with specialist knowledge and experience in the collection and management of photographic and video content.

A rare opportunity to work at Rakuten Travel, Japan’s largest online travel agency (OTA) to expand international markets and be part of the next stage of growth of the company. 

We’re currently looking for an experienced member who can lead media content expansion for Rakuten Travel.
You will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the development of the platform (web/app) across the services and to revamp and influence the structure, functionality and content, playing an important role in shaping the platform both for our global and domestic customers.
 
You will drive the development of media content strategy and system, which will enrich the site contents better and more scalable and contribute to shape the future Rakuten Travel's brand image.
 
You will be an analytical and influential member to be based in our Japan and work cross functionally with Product, Web Design, Marketing, Sales, Customer Service and Quality Management departments.

Position Details
・Find the right media source
・Enhance the digital content usage across the organisations
・Manage copyrights of media stored internally
・Ensure the media quantity and quality
・Find the potential issues, and develop/improve the system with Tech team

・Reporting

・Developing media planning knowledge / know-how
・Evaluating media and ad products based on analysis result
・Providing feedback to PIC of each media and ad productsWork Environment

・Age range: 20s to 40s
・Ratio of new graduates to mid-career hires: New graduates (100 per cent)

As this is a small department, there are currently no mid-career recruits.Mandatory Qualifications

Mandatory Qualifications:
・Basic knowledge of digital advertisement
・Basic knowledge of digital content management
・Basic knowledge of social media management
・Basic knowledge of copyrights and the intellectual property.
・Be fluent in written and spoken Japanese at native level.
・Be fluent in written and spoken English with a TOEIC score of 800 and above

Desired Qualifications:
・Practical experience in the digital marketing or IT sector
・Practical experience as an administrator of a DAM (Digital Asset Management) system
