This position supports complex Active Ingredient (AI) supply chains in North America, with a primary focus on supply planning activities and secondary responsibility for raw material and production scheduling support. In partnership with the Global Segment Supply Planning Leader (SSPL), this position is instrumental in executing a robust raw material supply strategy and maintaining over-label supply plans, ensuring operational reliability and supporting the long-term sustainability of the global food supply. 

What You’ll Do: 

• Material Planning & Material Scheduling Oversight Responsibilities, focused on AI raw materials with complex supply chains
  • Orchestrate the cross-functional execution of the AI Raw Material strategy for materials within your scope
  • Provide direction on raw material scheduling activities to ensure short-term supply demand balance and resulting schedule is feasible
  • Drive resolution of any unresolved short-term raw material supply exceptions
  • Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities in partnership with SSPL
  • In coordination with SSPL, monitor supplier performance and identify improvement opportunities with vendors to ensure delivery of forecast
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and health of raw materials, providing direction for potential low-turn inventory or expired materials
  • Will be accountable for performance to support the production plan at each manufacturing site
  • Participate in and/or lead supply chain projects within material planning scope of work
• Production Planning Responsibilities, focused on over-label supply planning for active ingredient products
  • Maintain monthly level supply demand balance utilizing Order Based Planning (OBP) for 0 – 12/18 month horizon
  • Create and manage detailed production plans that align with demand forecasts, inventory strategies, and capacity constraints
  • Maintain key master data in S4 and OBP for in scope materials in region
  • Evaluate supply risks/exceptions and develop risk mitigation alternatives to maintain supply plan feasibility
  • Participate in Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes to resolve supply exceptions and escalate imbalances
  • Partner with production scheduler to ensure successful execution of production plan
  • Escalate strategic supply issues that require leadership intervention or decisions
• Production Scheduling Responsibilities, limited to complex strategic AI raw materials
  • Translate production plan into an executable short-term schedule, coordinating day-to-day manufacturing activities, and ensuring production execution aligns with the approved supply plan

• • Create and manage process orders required to support production execution

• • Monitor schedule adherence to ensure reliable product supply and efficient asset utilization
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing to ensure schedule is feasible and aligned with plant capabilities
  • Proactively identify and escalate capacity constraints, material shortages and schedule disruptions that may impact supply performance
  • Lead Weekly Meeting (formerly called Logical Supply Team) as cross-functional forum to review and align near-term production execution
  • Maintain production scheduling-related master data

What Skills You Need:  

• BS/BA in Supply Chain, Business Management, Sciences or Engineering, Procurement, or other supply related field and/or 5 years equivalent supply chain experience
• Understanding of fundamental supply chain principles and concepts through education, professional training or on-the-job experience is highly preferred
• Technical proficiency in the use of multiple computer applications and sound analytical skills are necessary
• Experience with MRP processes is highly valued
• Ability to operate in or quickly learn S4 and Order Based Planning system and processes
• Continuous improvement mindset
• Project management experience is a plus
