We are seeking a Manufacturing Systems Engineer (MES & Integrations) to support our client's Digital Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with production, engineering, and IT teams to support and enhance our manufacturing systems landscape, with a primary focus on Plex MES and MACH2 integrations for one of our biggest manufacturing clients.
This role is ideal for a professional with experience in manufacturing environments, industrial software, and system integrations who enjoys solving complex operational and technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide application support, configuration, and maintenance for Plex MES and MACH2 platforms.
- Participate in testing, validation, documentation, and continuous improvement activities.
- Support factory deployments, system rollouts, and go-live initiatives across manufacturing sites.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues affecting manufacturing operations.
- Develop and maintain integrations between MES, ERP, shop-floor systems, and industrial equipment.
- Collaborate with production, quality, supply chain, and IT stakeholders to identify system improvements.
- Create technical documentation, process flows, user guides, and support materials.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimization.
- Work closely with international IT teams, external vendors, and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Hands-on experience with MES, manufacturing applications, or industrial software platforms.
- Strong technical background in software development and system integrations.
- Experience with:
- C# / .NET Framework / .NET Core
- SQL Server and database development
- REST APIs and web services
- Data integration and troubleshooting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Plex MES.
- Experience with MACH2, Rockwell Automation technologies, or Niagara-based solutions.
- Exposure to SCADA, HMI, PLC-connected applications, or industrial automation environments.
- Experience with ERP/MES integrations.
- Understanding of manufacturing KPIs such as OEE, Scrap, Downtime, Inventory, and Production Performance.
- Participation in Industry 4.0, Smart Factory, Digital Manufacturing, or Manufacturing Execution System projects.
- Experience supporting global manufacturing deployments.
