The Role and Impact As a Manufacturing Failure Analysis Engineer, you will play a vital role in identifying and resolving failures to enhance the yield, quality, and reliability of next-generation products and packages. Your day-to-day activities will include conducting detailed investigations into electrical and mechanical characteristics, defining failure analysis strategies, and developing methodologies to ensure strategic capabilities for future technologies. Your contributions will directly impact product quality and operational efficiency, driving innovation and excellence in manufacturing processes. Business group Intel Foundry is dedicated to developing cutting-edge technologies and products that redefine the future of manufacturing. As part of the Penang Package FA LYA team, you will collaborate with experts in failure analysis to support Intel's broader goals of delivering world-class solutions to customers. The group's mission focuses on ensuring product reliability and advancing manufacturing capabilities, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities - Conduct failure analysis to determine the root cause of defects in integrated circuits, components, subcomponents, and systems. - Define and implement failure analysis strategies to enhance yield, quality, and reliability. - Perform lab work to evaluate the electrical and mechanical characteristics of materials and devices. - Develop advanced methodologies for electrical, analytical, and mechanical failure analysis to support future technologies and products. - Direct technology and product transfer, manufacturing startup, and automation improvements in failure analysis processes. - Analyze failure reports, recommend corrective actions, and drive shared learning across sites.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 0-1 years of hands-on experience in domain with demonstrated skills gained through internships, academic projects, coursework, or hands-on training OR a Master's degree in a relevant field with no prior professional experience. - Proficiency in electrical and mechanical testing methods and tools. - Fundamental knowledge of material-device interactions and analysis techniques. Preferred Qualifications - Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams. - Passion for innovation and continuous improvement in manufacturing technologies.
