POSITION OVERVIEW

The Live Events & Streaming Producer coordinates technical planning and production support for PLI’s onsite, offsite, remote, and hybrid events. The role assesses venue capabilities, defines production requirements, and coordinates resources to meet PLI’s standards, budgets, and programming schedules. • Collaborate with Programs, Conference, and technical teams to define production requirements, coordinate appropriate A/V equipment, and develop show documentation.
  • Manage third-party vendors, evaluating service quality, cost, and alignment with program requirements.
  • Recommend production solutions that create a cohesive experience for onsite and virtual audiences.
  • Coordinate technical testing and readiness with PLI’s Streaming Engineer and support personnel, resolving issues before the program.

Day-of-Program Production

  • Oversee A/V Vendors, presentation, and streaming equipment to deliver and record offsite programs, remote webcasts, and hybrid meetings in accordance with established protocols.
  • Monitor audio, video, and stream quality throughout the program, including the end-user viewing experience.
  • Troubleshoot technical and operational issues, engaging the Streaming Engineer, vendors, and technical support personnel as needed.

Post-Program Assessment

  • Deliver properly formatted recordings and supporting materials to Multimedia’s Edit & Publish team for PLI On Demand products.
  • Review stream and recording quality, document technical issues and resolutions, and coordinate any necessary follow-up.
  • Assess vendor performance, service value, and production outcomes; maintain clear event documentation and recommend improvements for future programs.

Accountability and Communication
