Job Overview
The Analyst, Hire to Retire Ops (HTR) in T-Mobile's Magenta Service Center is responsible for executing critical HR operational and administrative processes throughout the employee lifecycle. This role ensures accurate and timely handling of employee and manager inquiries, transaction processing, and program administration to support business needs.
This role focuses on leaves of absence andaccommodations, contributing to efficient HR service delivery. By maintaining compliance and data integrity, the analyst helps uphold T-Mobile's standards for employee experience and operational excellence. Their work directly supports organizational goals by enabling smooth HR operations and fostering a positive workplace environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs HR operational processes and transactions within the Leave of Absence and Accommodations function, including leave eligibility determinations, medical documentation review, and coordination of the ADA interactive process. Applies policy knowledge and judgment to deliver accurate, timely, and compliant outcomes.
  • Researches and evaluates situations of moderate complexity within the assigned function, interpreting applicable policies, regulations, and guidelines to reach sound conclusions, with guidance available for novel or particularly sensitive matters.
  • Reviews and analyzes operational data, program information, and audit results to identify discrepancies, monitor compliance, and recognize patterns or emerging issues, using findings to support resolution and inform team practices.
  • Works collaboratively with internal partners such as Legal, Accounting, and HR Centers of Excellence to research and resolve issues, coordinate on cross-functional processes, and actively contribute to team or departmental projects that support HR service delivery.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve workflows, documentation, and standard operating procedures within the assigned function, and supports the implementation of process changes that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and the overall employee experience.


Required Education, Work Experience, Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor's Degree OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required)
  • HR Operations & Systems: Knowledge of HR processes and systems such as Workday, ADP Vantage, Kronos, or case management.
  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing data to identify trends, resolve discrepancies, and support data-driven decisions across HR functions.
  • Problem Solving: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify issues, assess root causes, and implement effective solutions within the HR lifecycle.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with employees, managers, and cross-functional partners at all levels.
  • Microsoft Excel: Proficiency in Excel including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools for reporting and operational support.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in transactions, documentation, and compliance activities.
  • Customer Focus: Demonstrates a strong commitment to understanding and meeting the needs of internal customers by providing responsive, high-quality HR service.
  • Compliance and Accountability: Consistently adheres to HR policies, employment laws, and regulatory requirements while taking ownership for accuracy and outcomes.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including Legal, Accounting, and HR Centers of Excellence to achieve shared goals.
  • Adaptability: Capability to adapt to changing priorities, business needs, and technology in a dynamic HR service delivery environment.
  • Process Improvement: Experience identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and the employee experience.
  • Work Independently: Demonstrates the ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and make decisions with minimal supervision while delivering quality results.
  • Growth Mindset: Embraces challenges, seeks learning opportunities, and adapts to change with a focus on continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Emotional Intelligence: Applies emotional intelligence in interactions with employees and managers, particularly when handling sensitive or complex HR matters.

Preferred Education, Work Experience, Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience administering leave of absence (FMLA, state leave, military leave) and/or ADA/disability accommodation case management.
  • LEAN Principles:Understands and applies LEAN or process improvement principles to drive efficiency and eliminate waste in HR operations.
  • Absence Management: Knowledge of leave of absence programs, eligibility rules, and case management processes, including FMLA and state leave equivalents.
  • Disability Law: Familiarity with disability and leave-related employment law, including the ADA/ADAAA and applicable state equivalents.
  • Leave Administration: Experience administering leave of absence cases in accordance with regulations and company policies, from intake through return-to-work, including tracking, documentation, and stakeholder communication.


Preferred Licenses and Certifications:

  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR)
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
  • Certified Disability Manger: Certifications in disability management such as (CDMS / CPDM/CLMS) (Preferred)

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Overland Park, KS Base Compensation Range: $63,800 - $86,300.00

Total Target Cash Earnings Opportunity: $64,460 - $116,160

National Base Pay Range: $58,600 - $105,600

The Total Target Cash Earnings Opportunity represents the expected total cash compensation for this role at target performance, combining base salary and annual incentive opportunity. Actual earnings may be higher or lower depending on individual performance and overall company results. 

The base pay range reflects the compensation component of this opportunity. The candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on individual and/or company performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance. The incentive component included in the Total Target Cash Earnings Opportunity reflects target performance. Actual earnings included in the Total Target Cash Earnings Opportunity reflect target performance; actual payouts may vary.
