POSITION SUMMARY: 

In accordance with the policies, procedures and standards of Melco Resorts Leisure (PHP) Corporation, the Laundry Runner is responsible for the finishing task in the laundry cycle that includes pressing, pick-up and delivery of uniforms and guests items. They are committed to deliver excellent customer service experience by implementing the utmost finishing/pressing touch through superior pressing skills and carrying out the pick-up and delivery tasks in a well-mannered means thus delivering an exceptional guest experience in the process.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.    Picks up articles for laundering, pressing and/or dry cleaning from hotel guest or Room Attendant.
2.    Informs supervisor for any guest instructions or special requests with regard to guest laundry.
3.    Verifies and counts all articles received from the hotel guest based on what is written in the Laundry List. Check laundry List with all necessary information and insert list into the Laundry Bag together with the articles.
4.    Brings directly to the Laundry Checker all items/bags taken from the hotel guest or Room Attendant.
5.    Assists in checking and packing of processed articles, making sure that it conforms to the quality standard. 
6.    Delivers articles on time according to type of service.
7.    Ensures that the Valet Delivery control is properly filled up.
8.    Notifies the guest who does not want to be disturbed, that their items are ready by using the DO NOT DISTURB CARD.   
9.    Ensures that the Laundry Baskets and Bird Cage Trolley are always clean and presentable.
10.    Carries out the finishing touch which brings out the best appearance of uniforms and guest items based on the acceptable standard of finishing or pressing. 
11.    Ensures to safeguard each type of fabric by utilizing the correct equipment and temperature application corresponding to its requirement and tolerance.
12.    Operates all the available finishing equipment in the facility and produce the equivalent quantity or production output based on the acceptable production threshold. Record individual production, if required.
13.    Remains knowledgeable of different fabric types and apply the corresponding pressing techniques to bring out the acceptable quality.

14.    Maintains and cleans the equipment in regular basis and reports to the immediate superior if equipment is broken immediately.
15.    Ensures cleanliness in the finishing area at all times being considered as the clean   side of laundry operation.
16.    Helps in other areas of Laundry whenever needed.
17.    Adheres to all Company Policies and Procedures.
18.    Performs any other duties as maybe assigned by supervisors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

I.    Experience

1.    Preferably six (6) months of working experience in a large scale commercial laundry or in a five star hotel with full service laundry.
2.    Knowledge of operating press/finishing equipment is an advantage

II.    Education 

1.    Preferably college level 
2.    Computer literate
3.    Adequate level of communication skills, both oral and written

III.          Skills / Competencies 

1.    Can do multi-tasking
2.    Good team player with positive “can do” attitude.
3.    Self-motivated and responsible. 
4.    Ability to work on flexible shift including overnight, weekends and holidays on rotation basis. 
5.    Ability to work on extended duty hours or render overtime, when needed. 
6.    Must be able to work indoors and be exposed to various environments such as, but not limited to chemicals, noise, heat, dust and fragrance. 
7.    Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 kilograms on a frequent basis without assistance. Is flexible to work and be able to step in, if and when required to assist team members with other tasks and/or as directed by the supervisor.
