Job Description

Position Summary:

The LAR GSM FP&A Manager is a direct report to the Americas Senior Finance Manager and has two direct reports, the LAR Senior FP&A Analysts. The position will be responsible for the financial management of the Latin America GSM Selling functions.  In addition, he/she will provide business decision support to the Regional Vice President LATAM, the Regional Sales Directors, and LATAM leadership team.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide business decision support, guidance and oversight of the FP&A processes, financial analysis, and internal controls as it relates to Orders, Sales and Spend management.

  • Oversee the FP&A processes including review, consolidation and analysis of monthly financial results, identification of risks and opportunities, and recommendation of actions to the Sales, Operations and BU leadership teams to improve overall orders and sales performance and cost management. 

  • Allocates Annual Operating Plan (AOP) by partnering with other financial teams and business partners to create projected annual targets by business or function incorporating key assumptions and reflective of investment prioritization.

  • Creation of quarterly forecast and regular outlooks for supported areas through inputs from business partner and providing solid baseline to compare financial results with frequent interaction with the BU finance teams and Global Analytics & Insights teams to ensure alignment.

  • Collaborate with the Commercial Operations team in aligning the Annual Operating Plan to the Sales Incentive Plan for all commercial resources under these initiatives.  Additionally, working with the team to calculate and correctly report financially the incentive adjustments during the Fiscal year.

  • Monitors capital spending and performs project management analysis working closely with regional leaders and project managers to ensure reporting accuracy and limit exposure on unrecorded spending.

  • Provides guidance, expertise and direction on spending issues to other professionals and managers within the regional functions including Business Unit Managers and functional Leaders, Regional Managers, and Regional Sales Directors.

  • Support directly the Americas Finance Manager to drive business planning, growth, efficiencies and profitability analysis, along with other special projects.

  • Ensure meaningful business data is being provided to the GSM leadership team that helps improve decision making and financial performance.

Business Partnering and Support:

  • Actively take part in quarterly performance reviews’ data preparation in conjunction with Regional Directors for the region which is presented to the RVP and then senior leadership in preparation for the company’s release of quarterly earnings for Americas.

  • Partners with Regional Sales Directors manage spending and revenue objectives in each sub region using detailed financial reporting and the development of new tools.

  • Supports business decisions through the preparation of key financial figures as well as the prediction of future scenarios driven by regional macroeconomic conditions.

  • Delegates responsibilities to subordinates who are responsible for implementing changes and performing key analyses on spending performance as well as orders and revenue reports.

  • Leads & supervises the FP&A team in Latin America.

Management Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development, performance, and training of their direct and indirect reports to enhance their skills in their current roles and to foster their professional development as individuals and for the benefit of the company’s broader FP&A organization while still meeting business needs.

  • Recruit, retain and motivate staff to address planned and unplanned turnover and ensure role responsibilities are well documented to accelerate the learning curve of new employees.

  • Utilizes master workload planning tools to balance the need to meet business deliverables, match employee skills with tasks, and manage peak workload demands.

  • Dynamically seeks development opportunities for team members to develop and grow inside the company as part of established career paths.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Minimum of five years or more years of experience in finance and/or accounting in budgeting, management reporting, and financial analysis required.

  • Knowledge of revenue recognition principles in a US GAAP environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and experience with SAP, Oracle Financial Management and HP.

  • Fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese is a plus.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Bachelor or associate degree (concluded or in the final stages of completion) in Business Administrator, Accounting or other related field.

  • Post graduate degree in Finance, International Accounting and/or MBA.
