Über diese IT Engineer Stelle bei Rox Data Corp
About Rox
Rox is building the AI-native revenue operating system for modern go-to-market teams. Backed by Sequoia, GV, and General Catalyst, we're working with ambitious enterprise teams to replace fragmented CRM workflows with intelligent, autonomous systems. Rox connects data across the GTM stack, deploys AI agents to do real work, and gives revenue leaders a clear, shared picture of what actually drives outcomes.
We're a small, fast-moving Series A team taking on one of software's most entrenched categories, and we're winning by combining deep technical rigor with obsessive focus on usefulness.
About the IT & Security Function at Rox
IT and Security at Rox isn't a back-office function. It's the infrastructure everyone in the company depends on every day, often without realizing it. Today, this function is one person: a Head of Security who owns everything from Field CISO to IT/Security help desk. We're hiring an IT Support Engineer to be the hands-on presence day to day, managing the support queue, automating tasks, and keeping people productive and secure, while helping build the IT engineering foundations the company needs for its next stage of growth.
You'll be joining at the ground floor of this function in our San Francisco office. The patterns you help set, how we onboard, how we manage identity, how we secure endpoints, how we automate the boring parts, will become the blueprint for how IT operates as Rox scales.
About the Role
This is a founding-level IT Support Engineer role for someone who is equal parts hands-on troubleshooter, systems thinker, and comfortable owning problems end to end with minimal process in place.
You'll spend your time split between the support queue, automating tasks, and resolving general or complex IT issues for a fast-growing team. But this role goes beyond keeping the lights on. You'll identify what's manual or fragile today and fix it: automating recurring work, tightening tech hygiene, and raising the bar for how IT operates at Rox.
If you enjoy being the person who can both unblock someone's laptop in five minutes and implement SaaS app SCIM integration that eliminates operational toil, this role will feel like home.
What You'll Do
Serve as the primary IT support engineer for the San Francisco office
Administer and evolve our core Enterprise identity stack: Okta, Google
Own the employee identity and application lifecycle
Administer endpoint management and engineer solutions for compliance enforcement
Automate recurring IT engineering work
Support security and compliance efforts for SOC 2 and ISO 27001
Identify opportunities to streamline IT operations and engineer tooling to scale
What Success Looks Like
In your first few days: You're fully onboarded and resolving basic support tickets independently.
Within a few weeks: You own the support queue end to end, including the full employee access & application lifecycle process, and you've automated at least one recurring manual task.
Within a few months: You've delivered an IT Service Management project independently, and built a series of workflow automation that drives down operational toil from the team for good.
Must-Have Skills
3–5+ years of experience in IT systems engineering, ideally at a fast-growing company
Hands-on administration experience with Okta or a comparable Secure ID/SSO platform
Working knowledge of SSO, SAML, OIDC, and SCIM
Experience managing a SaaS/collaboration stack such as Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, and a ticketing/project tool (Linear or similar)
Experience with Mac endpoint management (JumpCloud, Jamf, or similar MDM)
Scripting ability in Python and Bash, with demonstrable automation you've shipped
Strong knowledge of systems and network primitives; advanced sysad know-how across various operating systems (*nix, macOS, Windows)
Strong troubleshooting instincts across systems that touch identity, systems, networking, and SaaS integrations
Clear written and oral communication
Comfort with ambiguity and a preference for owning problems end to end
Willingness to work on-site in San Francisco 5 days a week
Why This Role Exists
Rox is scaling quickly, and the way we sell matters as much as what we build. This role exists to ensure that our technical story is clear, compelling, and grounded in real customer impact — and that it stays that way as we grow.
If you’re excited by ownership, influence, and the chance to help define a function from the ground up, this is one of those rare roles where your fingerprints will still be visible years from now.
