J-SOX (ITGC) Assessment: Evaluating system controls to ensure the reliability of financial reporting and providing recommendations for improvement.
Security Audits: Verifying the effectiveness of security controls and overseeing remediation efforts in response to evolving business needs and the latest threat landscapes.

Position Details

Upon joining us, you will first master our services and IT control foundations through J-SOX (ITGC) assessments. From there, you will expand your scope to include security audits and other areas, growing into an IT audit professional.

We do not require prior audit experience; we welcome those who understand our services and technologies, seek personal growth, and are eager to accelerate Rakuten's development through the power of governance.

Work Environment

Organization Structure
- Size: Approximately 50 members in the Internal Audit Department (with about 10 members in the IT & Security Audit Section).
- Demographics: Primarily professionals in their 30s and 40s.
- The team is composed mainly of mid-career hires.

Background of Mid-Career Hires
Our team is composed of professionals with diverse backgrounds, including those from audit firms and IT consulting firms, engineers and infrastructure engineers from various business companies or within the Rakuten Group, and experts in security governance operations and design.

Career Path Examples
- From Non-Audit Background (Engineer) to IT Audit Specialist:
Leveraging their hands-on IT experience, they started with ITGC assessments and have since expanded their scope to include security and system audits. They now serve as an Audit Lead, providing strategic recommendations directly to management.

- From Audit/Security Expert to Governance Leader:
Joining with a strong foundation in audit and security, they deepened their business acumen through J-SOX assessments. They currently lead projects to strengthen our group-wide security control framework in close collaboration with 2nd-line departments.

Mandatory Qualifications:

One of the following:
- 1+ years of experience in J-SOX (ITGC) or security audits (regardless of whether this experience was gained within an internal audit department or an operational department).
- 3+ years of experience in IT planning, development, or operations.
Must possess proven experience in communicating with stakeholders or business units.

Desired Qualifications:

- Qualifications related to system audit. Ex) CISA, System Auditor, etc.
- Qualifications IT related technology. Ex) Development language, DBMS, Application, Cloud related skills, etc.

TOEIC score of 800 or higher (or proof of equivalent English proficiency, or proof of a bachelor’s degree or higher from a university in an English-speaking country)
Proof of qualification must be provided by the time the job offer is issued.
If you do not have a score or proof of qualification, we will arrange for you to take a TOEIC IP test administered by our company during the selection process.
