We are seeking a detailed-oriented Trading Assistant with around 3 years’ experience to join our Delta One Trading desk. The successful candidate will support traders in managing day-to-day operations, ensuring accurate trade execution, risk monitoring, and operational efficiency. This role offers exposure to equity derivatives, Index arbitrage, and other Delta One strategies in a fast-paced trading environment.

Global Markets Group is the offshoring arm of Morgan Stanley’s Sales & Trading businesses in India. It covers functions across IED and Fixed Income Division (FID) ranging from those associated with sales, trading, analytics, strats to risk management.

What you'll do in the role:

• Trade Support & Execution:

•  Assist traders with booking and monitoring trades across multiple markets and products.

•  Communicate with sales team to book daily swap, forward and option trades.

•  Ensure timely and accurate trade capture in internal systems.

• Risk & Position Management:

•  Monitor positions, P&L, and risk metrics throughout the trading day.

•  Communicate with control function to clear breaks on pnl between systems

•  Reconcile discrepancies between internal systems and external counterparties.

• Operational Coordination:

•  Liaise with middle office, operations, and compliance teams to resolve trade breaks and settlement issues.

•  Liaise with cash payment team to make sure forward settlement is good on value date

•  Maintain strong communication with brokers and counterparties.

• Data & Reporting:

•  Prepare daily reports on positions, risk exposure, and market activity.

•  Support traders with ad-hoc analysis and market research.

•  Support trading team with historical data analysis on pnl and attribution.

• Preparing Analysis Tools:

•  Prepare Analytical tools using python for daily analysis of DSP Positions.

•  Perform process automation and resolve complex issues using coding skill.

•  Identify and implement workflow enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.

• Process Improvement:

•  Identify and implement workflow enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.

What you'll bring to the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field.

• 2-4 years’ work experience in Banking/Financial Services in Equity Swaps, TRS, and Derivatives.

• Strong understanding or equity markets and derivatives; Delta One experience is a plus.

• Advance knowledge of VBA and Python is plus.

• High level of attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong Communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
