As a Hotel Services Assistant / Environmental Services Assistant, you will be joining our dynamic team at St Vincent's Care Corinda in Food Services, Laundry as well as Cleaning space. In this role you provide services that support effective and high quality cleaning outcomes for residents and customers of the aged care home. You will provide high quality food services and support residents with their food choices, ensuring residents feel valued, respected and engaged. You are also responsible for assisting the kitchen team to deliver quality meals in a timely manner and ensuring that the kitchen is hygienic, safe and operational, while maintaining the St Vincent’s Care Services Policy around meals and dining experience. All positions contribute to the provision of quality and sustainable health services within the ethos of the philosophy, mission, values and ethics of the St Vincent's Health Australia.

Things that work for us:

• Certificate in Hospitality and Kitchen Management (or other relevant qualification)

• Relevant experience in similar field and experience in working with Dementia clients would be an advantage

• Ability to work on a casual basis AM and PM shifts

• Experience with Housekeeping and Food Services area including meal preparation, presentation, and distribution; Café Service

• Capable of assisting residents with laundry, putting clothes away, and general household tasks including cleaning

• Comfortable developing a relationship with each resident in your care, building trust and familiarity and supporting everyone’s personal space to be homelike, respectful and safe

• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills

• High level of customer service skills

• Know, understand, and adhere to the requirements of the Aged Care Quality Standards and Food Safety standards

• Ability to follow directives as per care plan

• Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)
